The Troll

I think the union referees should just go SCAB and give up.  With all of the money they make, hell they don't need a pension.

$149,000 a year to work three months is not too bad. It sounds to me like they might just be a tad ungrateful.

How much do the owners and the players make in three months.  It seems to me they are being short sheeted.  Could you do the job with the same quality as they do.  From your past history, I think not.

Where did that figure come from?

Thank you.  I thought they made something along that range.  I'm going to have to look up and see how that compares to officiating crews in other professional sports leagues in the U.S. like the NHL, NBA, and MLB.

The NFL needs to get this worked out.  I've heard the commentators talking aloud since week one about these officials, and wondering when and if a bad decision would cost some team a game.  It happened before our very eyes last night.  Very, very ugly.

It is hard to get too mad at the replacement refs...they are doing a very difficult job.  Though the one last night was REALLY bad.  I think the fans should just strike and not watch any more games until the get it settled.

but, as I say this, I don't know if I really want to NOT watch either..........the whole thing sucks..........too much greed EVERY where.

You call them replacement refs, I call them SCAB REFS.  If they want to come in and take a union refs job and keep the union refs from getting a contract it should be rough.  The SCABS should be caught tarred and feathered and run out on a rail.  :haha:  Damn I hate SCABS, the lowest animal on the earth.  :hanged:

Henry Hawk

It looks like they may have an agreement, and the REAL refs could be back this week........according to my sources.

If you have noticed that most high skilled workers are union.  It takes a lot to time, book study and work at a  high level.  Because of your trade, even  tho is it a SCAB job you are  paid a higher level.  And why do the company do that?  We that means they can get a higher educated worker and if they made it hell on the workers, they would go out of business or go union where the employees receive better treatment.

Let us say your boss sells his business and they came in like so many other take overs.  The new company want to cut your pay in half, go away with your benefits and makes you work for 48 hours a week at half wage.   Yes, Hawk it has been done many times.  What would you do.  Stay and cry or grab your shit and leave the scene.  If you had a union you would leave with something.  Right now you don't have a leg to stand on.     That is why the smart people have unions.

I agree, MANY unions offer a highly skilled workers..... IBEW, offers some of the best electricians in the country.  But, don't tell me the UAW created better workers.  Because they didn't.  They protected lazy workers.

I do not need or want a Union troll.  Why can you not understand that?  I am doing just fine. I am earning my way through this life, not having it given to me on a platter, that was made by others.  My company is still standing.  I am working and they are still sending me to classes and investing in me.  I am leaving next week for a three day seminar.  I go two week after that for another one-day training.  In Feb of 13, I go for a one-week training in San Diego.  I go to lunch at least once a week with vendors.

I love my job Troll.....and no union is needed.

Your just 52 and that's only 13 years from 65 retirement age.  Are you going to have enough money and enough pension to retire.  If Mitt and Paul gets elected you might not have shit.  Think about it.  Just 13 more years.  It is going to come so fast it is going to make your head swim.  I know, it happen to me.

If Hank is 52, his full retirement age is 67, not 65.
