QuoteAnd this is what one always wants to know about candidates who flourish the Good Book or who presume to talk about hell and damnation. Do they, themselves, in their heart of hearts, truly believe it? Is there any evidence, if it comes to that, that Perry has ever studied the theory of evolution for long enough to be able to state roughly what it says? And how much textual and hermeneutic work did he do before deciding on the "inerrancy" of Jewish and Christian scripture? It should, of course, be the sincere believers and devout faithful who ask him, and themselves, these questions. But somehow, it never is. The risks of hypocrisy seem forever invisible to the politicized Christians, for whom sufficient proof of faith consists of loud and unambiguous declarations. I am always surprised that more is not heard from sincere religious believers, who have the most to lose if faith becomes a matter of poll-time dogma and lung power.

Does the Texas governor believe his idiotic religious rhetoric, or is he just pandering for votes?

You are not going to see this hawk defend him, that is for sure.....

Though if he happends to be the guy to run against Obama, I would hold my nose and vote for him, as I did McCain.

Why would I want to continue down this path that the left has created for us?..................I am ready for this country to turn around and be prosporous once again.

I will guarantee that it won't be with the Tea/Republican Party.  In every case in past history the Republican hasn't done one thing for the working class and the middle class.

Their main goal is to turn this country into a kingdom where the Rich and corporations rule the entire country.

Prove to me that the Republican party has passed, submitted one law that is for the working people in this country.  You can' come up with one thing.  Cutting taxes is one of them.

LOL...the left created this situation?  What should I expect from someone who can't even spell, "prosperous."

The scariest thing about Rick Perry is he actually makes George W. Bush look smart. That's downright frightening.

Since the only things christians have are words to back up their beliefs, it is only natural for them to gauge the level of commitment to the cause by the dB level of the speaker.  Fire and brimstone preachers are speaking directly for god in their shouting and speaking in tongues ;>)  "shout it to the rooftops, brothers" (of course women are to be silent).  So Sandy, they can't hear you

ALL religious rhetoric is idiotic, whether winning souls or votes.
