I can tell the difference between an entertainer and a person who is giving an opinion but evidently you can't.  Yes, part of the time his show was entertaining and he presented things in his way which sometimes was irritating but when he got serious because he was trying to make a point there was a huge difference.  Stewie is strictly entertainment.  He made it easy to check his facts and emphasized going to the library where things were in hard print and couldn't be changed to fit what the younger generation, who knows no better, were being spoon fed.  He was not the deciding factor in most of my opinions whether you believe it or not.  I'll bet you look cute with that ring in your nose you're being led around by.

How did I know it would only be a matter of time before your delusions about how profound a thinker you think you are entered the conversation?  If you think that Glenn Beck is anything but pure entertainment, you're on some pretty serious drugs and I, unlike you, don't need a ring in my nose because I don't need loudmouths like him telling me what to think.  I do understand, however, that you aren't very smart so having someone else think for you makes sense on some level.
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

And yet, I currently have health insurance and will have no problem being able to afford it when I retire (early) either while you, by your own admission, have none.  How is it that such a keen mind with such a profound grasp of money and economics ends up in her twilight years without the ability to afford simple necessities like health insurance?

It's ok, me; I have done well and don't have any issues with my taxes going to make sure you can go to the doctor when you need to.

Ya know, I really hope something doesn't come along to take you down a peg or two 'cause you wouldn't be able to handle it.

I missed the part were she doesn't have heath insurance, she has been married to union members who had health insurance and high paying union jobs.  But if the Teabaggers/Republicans don't take it away.  When she gets 65 she have Medicare and Medicade when they put her in the loony nursing home, the same thing she is trying to kill.  Go figure. :knife:

I hope the same for you as I do for EX.  I really hope nothing comes along and takes either of you down a peg or two.  Of course if it happened to you at the same time you could cry on each others shoulders I guess.

I'm sure I'll weather any storms like I always have but thanks for your concern!

Well, there is one thing for sure.  If we take the road "ME" and Hawk want this country to take.  There will be no free ride for the poor people, or any working poor or the middle class people.

It was in the 1800s and the 1920 and 30s with the rich and the Robber Barons ruled, where the American people took a beating and the rich still lived in lavish style.  The twins want to bring it back.  These people are sure poor history students.  Just look at the past and see what they want to bring back.  I won't be here to see it, but you Ex and Henery might still be here.

All of of us who has a little money might feel secure.  But all the Tea Party/Republican Party has to do is devalue the dollar to where it's worth a quarter or less of what it is worth now.  But the Multimillionaires and the Billionaires will still be rich.  Think about it and vote Tea Party for success.  :knife:

The present Tea Party/Republican Party is a sure way back to the bad times.  Just talk to someone who is in their late 80s or 90s and they all will tell you how bad it was.  My father sure clued me in and I believe what he said was true.  He carried his poor childhood and his thoughts of Hoover and the Republicans with him all of his life.  I sure don't want any of this Tea Party shit for the future people in America.  :4th3:

Mr. Exterminator.  EX your topic "Poor people:  Your Free Ride is Over!"   Has got me to thinking about poor people.  The Tea Baggers and The Republicans are dead set against helping any down and out poor people and I got a hypothetical question that  you or anyone else might help me with.

The question is.  If we have a poor family with a father, mother and 5 children making $35,000 a year and they want to send their oldest son to college.  The boy is smart, hard working, make the dean List, but he or his family doesn't have the money to send him to college.  If the boy goes in to the R.O.T.C., the reserve officers  training Corps and the United States Army give the boy, with taxpayer money,  all of the money  he needs to go to college and some money on the side.

Is that bellying up to the government trough to use taxpayer money for his own use?  The Republicans and the Tea Baggers think that anyone using government money is a leach a dead beat.  Going into the Army as an officer for three years for a college education sound like a real taxpayer ripoff and a good deal for him.  Hummmmmm.

A guy I worked with grandson went to college on the ROTC program and graduated with a degree in accounting.  He went in as a second lieutenant working in Washington DC.  As soon as he put in his short time he really bailed out quick.  He is now working for one of the largest CPA firm in Indianapolis working as a tax avoidance expert.  Cutting the taxes for some of the richest people in Indy and doing it for big, big bucks.  Working to keep the government from collecting tax money to put in the ROTC college program.  Go figure.  No good deed goes unpunished.

It really bugs me.  How about you?
