Does it really matter where/who gathered the intel or where it was controlled from? The fact remains that the intel gathered through Bush's presidency contributed greatly to UBL's death.

There is no proof of this. They THOUGHT that UBL MIGHT have been in Tora Bora but were not 100% sure. There are conflicting reports and theories but to this day they still don't know if he was there for sure. Just as we were about to crush the al Queda they negotiated a truce with the Afghan fighters that allowed them time to surrender their weapons. This probably allowed UBL to escape. Also during this 'truce' US soldiers were ready to advance on al Queda forces and the Afghans drew their weapons on the soldiers forcing a 12 hour delay in the action. They later saw who they thought was UBL enter a cave and called in bombing runs. They destroyed the cave system but couldn't confirm if UBL was there or not.

Looks like the Pentagon supported this action to me.

Ah, the left's talking point yet again. These remarks that Bush supposedly made were cherry picked and presented completely out of context. How about looking in to where these remarks came from and what else was said. (Hint: they are from a 2003 WH press conference)

Clinton?? Wasn't he the one who shot 66 cruise missiles at UBL and missed?? It was also Clinton that pressured Sudan to oust UBL and that's how he landed in Afghanistan.

What is so hard to understand that it wasn't JUST intel gathered during Obama that got UBL? It was that combined with intel gathered over the last 10+ years.

You may not be a truther in the strictest sense of the word, but you do have LIHOP leanings.

Let's see, you say that Bush & co. sat on their asses even though they 'knew about bin Laden's plans to fly planes into buildings'. I have researched this fairly well and at best they knew of two of the hijackers before 9/11. One was mentioned by a field agent in a memo that never got to Bush. The second was Moussaoui who was mentioned in an August 15, 2001 report, less than a month before 9/11 but investigations into him were blocked by the justice department. Again, Bush was never informed.

As long as you're finger pointing why not look into all the warnings and reports that were done during Clinton's administration? He (they) had just as many if not more than Bush's administration but they did nothing about it either for fears of upsetting the aviation business.

Even with that, neither administration had any concrete information that pointed to how, where or when the attacks would take place. It's easy to sit back after the fact and say "if we would have done this or acted on that, the attacks would never have happened." Hindsight is 20/20 you know.
