Unemployment was only 4 and 5% during the Bush administration so there didn't need to be any jobs "created".  What is so hard to understand about it is NOT the government's job to "create" jobs?

Good old, old "ME" just like a broken record.  Wanting to go back to the good old days of George W.

I could just see George W. standing there a week before he left office holding that stinking paper bag of wet garbage, the economy.  Hoping it wouldn't break before he passed it off to Obama.  Well, it did break and all of his sins and the Republican sins came out and put us into a depression.  It's not as bad as the one of Herbert Hoovers but it is almost as bad.

Why don't you write George W. a letter on how you feel about him and maybe he will send you a thank you note.  I'll bet he doesn't get much fan mail.  :rotfl:  :rotfl:  :rotfl:  LMAO.  :grin2:

And here we are over over 2yrs into this administration and things are getting worse by the day instead of better and instead of tending to business our POTUS is on another vacation in Chicago.

Yep, two years, its like cleaning out a big, big cow tramp shed with four feet of packed bull shit and straw in it with one pitchfork.  You also know he isn't getting help from your Teabagger/Republican party.

You want to talk about Obama going home to Chicago.  "ME" did you forget how many times George W. went to Texas.  Come to think of it the boy really didn't leave.  That is, his brain.  Hee, Hee, the boy was a little "slow"

I say old girl your like a tattoo, you just get under everyones skin, Just like Henery and Squawk.  Your a few cards short from being a full deck, Butter Cup.

No matter how you say it, and the quoted article says it well, it will NEVER penetrate the propaganda of the political machines out there. THAT is responsible for blinding millions of Americans and conning them into actually believing that the lamb is bleeding them dry while the wolves lap at their throats! It has taken decades of conditioning to turn those blind people into the hapless, and unquestioning lemmings that they are today; and no one's eloquence or word smithing is going to be capable of positively influencing or changing this fact within the course of 4 years, much less even a decade.

...because they're stupid; there really isn't any other logical explanation.

Federal revenues to the Treasury doubled in the eight years of Ronald Reagan.....the amount of money generated via income taxes doubled during the eight years of Ronald Reagan......this is fact.  He LOWERED taxes.....BOOM!

Now, we are talking RAISING taxes with a extremely POOR economy.....I don't like to keep harping on this....but, I'm not sure WHO is buying all the so-called propaganda....

Some people WANT to say they are being intellectually honest and that others are blind.....I digress, with ALL MY HEART.

The latest report is that 45% of Americans do NOT pay ANY taxes???!!!! WTF?  We have WAY too many laws packed with tax breaks for all incomes....THOSE need to go away.....and we need to find an honest % to ALL  americans.....

enough of the politics...we have GOT to start doing what is right to turn this economy BACK into a thriving one.

Actually, they increased during Reagan's term by 80% but if you want to lie and exaggerate the numbers, we won't be angry because we're used to it.  What your figures don't include, however, are the effects of inflation and population growth during that period.  When those two factors are considered, real revenues per capita only increased about 19%.

Now here's the part that'll hurt...prior to Reagan's term, from 1972 to 1980, real revenues per capita increased about 24% and from 1992 to 2000, after taxes had been raised, real revenues per capita inceased by a whopping 41%!  These numbers sure don't seem to support the fallacy of decreased taxes increasing revenue; do they?

So here are the annual increases in real revenue for the past few decades:

1973-1979: 2.7%
1979-1990: 1.8%
1990-2000: 3.2%
2000-2007: 0%

Do you see the increases in revenue associated with Reagan's and Bush's tax cuts?  Neither do I.

Who is buying the propaganda, again?

Agreed; you go first.  If you and I made the same amount of money, you would pay less taxes because you get to deduct your children and I have none.  At the same time, your children use up resources that cost tax dollars...schools for example.  While you're on your soap box about not taking money away from people and giving it to other people, ask yourself whether or not that is exactly what is happening in this situation by my being forced to subsidize your family.

I"m not say that we SHOULD be subsidizing families....in fairness we should NOT.  I want a fair tax to ALL.

and despite WHAT statistics you managed to find.....the fact IS, the economy exploded under Reagan.....unemployment dropped, and inflation dropped.

Under Bush...the same thing.....the only problem was Congress SPENT TOO MUCH... and did NOT live with in our means....THAT is why we are in the mess today.....and YES, I know republicans share the blame...I'm not defending any party or putting one down.....

I just want to start doing the right thing, and GET THIS ECONOMY MOVING AGAIN.

Cutting taxes WILL stimulate the economy and increase revenue......Government increasing our debt on "spending programs" will NOT.

Let the American people spend our way back into prosperity..

That's what George W. said, go out and spend your money, buy a new car, most bought foreign, shopped Walmart.  Also while the phony interest rates are here, go buy a house.  We will spend our self back into prosparity.
