When I talk to young people (early 20 to middle 30) they know a lot about the Beatles, Vietnam, specifically how terrible we were to the enemy and the pows deserved what they got, and maybe something about Iran. It is very strange.

You should find a better circle of friends.
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

We got our state tax refund last week. We spent it all in one place, went to Frischs for dinner.😁
We owe federal a whopping $100.00 and state we are suppose to get back$9.00. We will never see the $9.00.

This describes every conservative I know.

hmm ... interesting. I have a lot of books, but none by Agatha Christie. Never read anything by her. In fact, the only detective story writer I've ever gotten interested in is Robert Parker, specifically his Spenser series. That was when I was riding a local bus to and from the Pentagon. Plenty of time to read (or sleep, which a lot of people did).

That's my answer, and minus forensics it is the one I am sticking to. . .

If you read one of James Patterson's "Alex Cross" series, you'll have to read them all. . . Or someone will die. Usually Alex Cross himself.  :icon_twisted:

I keep meaning to start one of his books. I have a good friend who has all the Alex Cross ones. I give her the new ones on birthdays and/or Christmas.

Exactly the way I got started on them. One of them was in a group of books I was given by a friend moving out of state. The rest followed via 2 each subsequent December, (birthday and Xmas), from my wife. Until I got caught up. Now it's one each December.

I see the glint in my wives eyes each November when Patterson airs his commercials threatening to kill of Cross unless we buy his latest in the series for Xmas. The only surprise is which day I will get it for!

No, I had a fish sandwich and husband had a hamburger and fries. Thought about the brownie/ice cream dessert, but didn't get it.😟

Maybe you should look for a better class of conservatives instead of judging everyone by a few.

I'm going to have to come there to Anderson and try a Big Boy Burger just to refresh my memory.  It's closer than Bob's out in California.  ;D

Big Boy Burgers are great, especially with their sauce.     But I think the best burger today is Steak and Shake. :drool1:  The best fish is Long John Silvers and the best fried chicken is Church's Chicken and the best Pizza is Art's Pizza in Anderson, Indiana.  :drool2:
