Today I decided to relax and watch a couple musicals on DVD. I finally decided on Joseph and Fiddler on the Roof. Anyone else enjoy musicals and old movies? We spent most of last week going to, coming home or sitting in two different hospitals. Hubby had a heart cath here and then a second one with stents in Indy the next day. He is home and fine, but it was a long week.

I like most musicals, but I never could get into Cats or Lion King. Phantom of the Opera, Evita, Brigadoon, The King and I, Meet Me In St. Louis, and Jesus Christ, Superstar are also some of my favorites. Some of the old movies I enjoy are How Green Was My Valley, Arsenic and Old Lace, all the Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn movies, and the original Sabrina, to name a few.

I don't usually bread or bake the chops but Kroger had some Italian seasoned bread crumbs and I decided to try them and it was excellent.

We have just had a huge rainstorm go through the DC area - more than 4" of rain - lots of flooding. As usual the TV crews go out and show the cars of the idiots who tried to drive through a flooded area and had to be rescued. This happens every time! The media warns and warns and warns - "Don't drown, turn around." Yet these same mfers who watched the TV news last time we had flooding are out there doing it themselves.

I think the future of the human race would likely be brighter if they let the dumb asses drown. Darwinian natural selection .... weed 'em out.

My girlfriend and I were visiting my aunt and uncle this morning for a bit.  We were sitting outside having coffee and donuts since the weather is abnormally cooler and breezier than normal.  There's a loud ass macaw in an outside cage at the house behind them.  Sometimes it would squawk pretty loud.  One time, we heard it squawk, "Uck U!  Uck U!"  What do you think it was trying say?  :icon_twisted:  ;D
