Well, your plane will have to be a piece of crap, because I won't jump out of a perfectly good aircraft.

There is no such thing as a, "perfectly good aircraft."
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

There are plenty of them. They're all on the ground though.

I'm with my husband on jumping out of planes. I'll go right after the pilot.  :)

Today I slowly came to the realization that I have been a hypocrite within a professional situation I have found myself within over the last 2 weeks. The realization slowly crept into my thoughts during another conversation I was having with the person I was being hypocritical with; but due to the complexity of the topic I was not able to give it the amount of processing necessary to achieve germination. . . Then, while I was having a conversation with the targets of todays conversation, and providing the "elevator speech" I had so studiously prepared, the realization hit me like a pimp. . .

Then I had to drive home. . . and wallow in my hypocrisy.

In true modern day form, I just finished texting an apology to the receiver of my hypocrisy, my boss. And relenting to the actions he was, at the time, being kind enough to forewarn me of 2 weeks ago. . . and asking him to do it ASAP so I can stop being a hypocrite.

One of the key maxims of my leadership style has always been that I will never ask those who I am leading to do something I am not willing to do myself; and first.

Time to man up. . .

My nieces husband arrived at home today after 285 days of deployment in the middle-east.

Homecoming; where spirits soar.  :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

I'll bet he's glad to be back and everyone is glad to have him back.

Being in IT can be advantageous.  Especially when one can remotely control the desktop of a huge Minnesota Viking fan to leave them a Monday morning message.  :icon_twisted:

I once again, am so very grateful for all things.  My son (#2) dodged a bullet as he was T-Boned in his vehicle this Saturday.  He pulled out in front of a SUV, never saw it coming.  He was on Scatterfield Rd just after noon.  His Grand AM is now scrape metal.  The other vehicle had barely any damage.  The driver was a man about my age, and all he was concerned about was my son.  When my son called me and told me he was in an accident, I asked if he was okay.  He said he was fine.  I went up there immediatly.  When I saw his car, I was stunned that he was okay.  He at first refused to go to the hospital, but I insisted.  They did an x-ray on his head, hip and hand.  He walks away with a concussion and a very sore body.

I did not have full coverage on his car, so we are in the business of looking for a new one, but I am tickled that THAT is the worst thing I am worried about this morning.

Glad to hear everything turned out okay HH.

I remember one time while my parents were out of town, my sister rear ended a guy who was dead stopped at a traffic light at about 45 miles per hour.  She totaled the car too, but also walked away from it.  And that was back before the days of text messaging.  I don't recall what she said distracted her.

Sure would be nice if this forum had an option like Facebook does where you could click on a post from some illiterate moron, click on, "I don't want to see this," and select, "it's annoying or not interesting," as the reason.
