Last weekend, my dog training club hosted a regional level German Shepherd Dog conformation event that I was responsible for organizing.  I had never held a dog show before.  They said that we would fail, that we would embarass the region but my fellow club members responded by working their asses off to host the most well attended regional show in the history of the organization that people were still raving about online days later.

This morning, someone from the national office contacted me and asked if we would be interested in hosting the organization's national sieger show in 2015.

Wondered what the heck that was all about.  I ran across it looking for something else and thought it was funny they would read a bill like that but didn't even think about it being an onion thing.  Wouldn't have put it in this thread if I thought there was anything to it believe me, it would have been in the other thread with WTF instead of WTH.   :wink:

Dude, honestly, we have maybe 20 club members who regularly train...we're like the little club that could.  Last week, few even knew we existed; this week, we are national news in the GSD world.  All it took was a lot of hard work and a commitment to creating a drama-free atmosphere of cooperation and sportsmanship amongst all of our competitors.  The federal government and the president could learn some things from us.

A noble idea and thoughts, however the hoarder in every one of us will not allow such to exist for very long. Greed and the desire for wealth and power, corrupt. Every time.

I am certainly just as disgusted as anyone with the whole process. Why we cannot fire each and every one of these miscreants and hold a special election to replace them, is frightening.

I think the problem is, that you and I, both realize this, that we are indeed being shit on.  It's just we see things from different angles....but the bottom line is, we are being shit on, and ultimately you said it best with "The federal government and the president could learn some things from us"....I think "us" is people who unselfishly put themselves in a position to accomplish something for the GOOD of something.  Such as in your case with the dogs, we need the same attitude with HC, and our economy.

I admit that there are many repubicans that SUCK! Heck MOST, if not ALL politicians SUCK!  We need people who actually give a shit, with term limits.

With that said, and I am getting off track, I hope you get the opportunity to host your organization's national sieger show.
