There was a picture that went with that, but it disappeared.

I just heard that idiot that killed those people at Ft. Hood has still been getting paid to the tune of $278k and they won't suspend his pay until he's proven guilty, even though they know he did it, and the soldiers who were wounded can't get any help because it isn't combat related.  What a crock if this is indeed true.

It's the LAW!!!!

U.S. Department of Defense officials confirmed to NBCDFW.com that Maj. Nidal Hasan's salary cannot be suspended unless he is proven guilty in the Nov. 5, 2009, shooting in Texas, citing the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Jury selection in his trial is scheduled to begin May 30.

Apparently the law sucks when it applies to a situation you do not agree with. . .

Why is it taking so long?  It's still BS and you know it.  He should have been court marshaled and dealt with already.  He damaged government property.

No. I'm NOT "fine" with it. But it's the law. And it has been the law for a long, long time. I think I know what you were trying to insinuate with that post.

No, you don't.  It pisses me off about the way things work sometimes and I do feel it should not have been classified as "work place" violence.  http://theweek.com/article/index/244483/how-the-fort-hood-shooting-suspect-made-278000-sitting-in-jail

Why don't you ask someone in the military how military tribunals work? It was classified as work place violence just the same as fragging incidents were during 'Nam. You think just because of the perp's religion, he should be treated differently?

Hope the Brits are smarter than we are about handling the terrorists.  This is what the terrorists are about for real.  Listen to the guy, take notes, quit allowing our government to placate these people.

They had a choice, they made the wrong choice.  If a spouse of a military person beats them up they have damaged government property and are dealt with accordingly.  He has damaged government property and should also be dealt with accordingly.  Political correctness has no place here at all and that's what it's all about.

Bullshit! They had no choice whatsoever! According to the rules of the military, it was ruled workplace violence. Clear cut. Simple. Until someone changes those rules, they are bound to obey and enforce them to the letter of the law.

PERIOD!

The Brits have their laws. We have ours. If I'm not mistaken, we had a disagreement over that in 1776.

And we won.

So I have not right, nor does anyone else, to question it or be pissed about it.  Is that what you're saying?  I suppose you agree with those terrorists who blew up the embassy in Benghazi being brought over here and tried too.  http://news.yahoo.com/fbi-ids-benghazi-suspects-no-arrests-yet-180357480.html
