I interpreted his comment as meaning that the dog wasn't showing any fear at exiting the aircraft.  Not his first trip to the rodeo, methinks.  Either way, no reason to not just leave the tail alone...shouldn't hurt anything.
Wonder who the first person was who thought of taking their dog for a jump.  That is kind of neat though.

Hard to say.  There was a guy in the early 90's whom I'd see at various skydiving events jumping with his dog; not sure how long the military has been doing it.

After a little more research on the subject, it would appear that dogs have been parachuting as early as 1920 but the first official military use of them was in WWII.

That's wild.  I never got into it that much since it's not something I'm really interested in but for some reason that picture made me think about that guy I used to see around Anderson that had his dog with him on his motorcycle and how much that dog enjoyed being with him and loved riding too.  Well, maybe it was more of a bit motor scooter but you know what I mean.  Do you remember ever seeing him?

I am beginning to enjoy the easter eggs FTW left hidden about in this forum. I remember him posting some of them and thinking, "Does he mean what I think he means there?"; and making a choice to remain optimistic over it all by not asking. . .

He dropped hints, subtle ones at the time, but they were there. . .  :'(

Great catch PH..........yes, in hindsight, he most certainly did.  I also wished, I had been more conscience of his remarks and could have been more "open" with my thoughts to him.

Sorry but why?  Of course it could be just the song I don't like I guess.

I am all about anyone who throws him/herself at the performance with passionate, reckless abandon.  Not sure of your role in any band or what kind of band it might have been so I really can't judge from your perspective.  We went out to rock and this band does.  I can post a Wayne Newton video if that's more to your liking.

I thought you didn't approve of torture.
That's why I said it may just be the song I didn't like.  I prefer a singer who is into the song, (music), rather than a "performance" and enjoy seeing them really like what they're doing, you can tell a difference.  You may get more into the music which, to me, would make you the better person to listen to and watch. Example, Willie Nelson's voice really isn't that good but I love to watch him and the same for John Prine.  Joss Stone is someone who is lucky enough to have the voice and the feel for what she's doing and I really like to watch and hear her.  Heck I even liked Pavarotti.  I will have to admit when my grandson was drummer in a death metal band I had to listen in a technical frame of mind to get past the music which I really don't care for.  They were good but I told him that was where the generation gap took over...LOL  Fortunately he also likes big band, some country, and some of the 80's hair bands so we have some musical taste in common.
