Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

Now if only Vice President Biden and the senators and congress would do the same.

True.  That was a great gesture but giving up a couple of vacations would have netted more.  At least he made a stab at doing something right for a change.  Can't have everything huh?

Indiana State Trooper happens upon a man who wrecked his van into the side of a truck.  Finds the man in full cardiac arrest, performs CPR on him until the medics arrived, and saved his life.  The link contains video of their first meeting post incident, (with both of them alive). The man was told he died, several times, yet here he is.

Nice story and a well done to the Sgt who saved him.  8)

The neocons will hate this!

Are we REALLY supposed to be impressed that he is going give BACK $20,000 of his salary?  When he cost taxpayers hundreds of thousand just for a one day outing with Tiger Woods?  REALLY?

The food alone is gonna cost more than that for that big bash he has scheduled with all those stars.  Must be nice to be able to spend other peoples money for all the luxuries in life while telling everyone "we have to make sacrifices".  Wonder how many WH tours that would pay for.

And there you have it...yet another example of the abject, irrational hatred of this man that these losers claim has nothing to do with race.

Hey, numb nuts, how many trillions did Bush spend in Iraq again?  Thousands of dead American soldiers and your tax dollars at work so that multi-national oil companies could get their hands on oil...doesn't that make you feel all warm and fuzzy?

You really just don't get it do you?  It is YOUR hatred that is obviously blinding you from seeing the truth.  Like normal, you have to bring up Bush or race to defend yourself.

Here is the deal as far as I am concerned.  IF, we did not have ONE out of SIX Americans in poverty, a record number on food stamps, unemployement STILL near 8%......and a POTUS who PREACHED he was going to make things better for these people.........well, I think it is NOT a good image for him to be out traveling extensively as he has.  HE was the one who made such comment as this:

http://dailycaller.com/2012/09/18/obama-in-2006-as-president-vacations-leisure-is-gone/

Do you think I would have a "better" attitude if it was Hillary or John Kerry doing the same thing?  NOPE!  Hell, I would be embarrassed if Bush would be doing this.  YOU should be too!

"Essentially the bargain that any president, I think, strikes with the American  people is: 'you give me this office and in turn my fears, doubts, insecurities,  foibles, need for sleep, family life, vacations, leisure is gone. I am giving  myself to you.' And the American people should have no patience for whatever is  going through your head because you've got a job to do,"

Bush quit playing golf, went to his farm rather than exotic vacation spots, entertained heads of state instead of throwing lavish parties with "stars", went to Camp David over the holidays so his staff could be with their families.  Ya, he was a real spender of our money.

As for Bush quitting golf, that is an absolute lie.  You're both liars too.

Hey, numb nuts, how many trillions did Bush spend in Iraq again?

Not trillions, but....$1.283 trillion for "military operations, base security, reconstruction, foreign aid, embassy costs, and veterans' health care for the three operations initiated since the 9/11 attacks." Those three operations include Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) Afghanistan; Operation Noble Eagle (ONE), providing enhanced security at military bases; and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).
The Cato Institute estimates that the U.S. has dumped at least $2.5 trillion of fiscal stimulus into the economy since 2008...which STILL has the same unemployment that we did when we first started this spending....THAT is twice as much money.

Also, let me remind you that the democrats also voted in favor of going to war.

You act as if there is a difference between a trip home or a trip overseas, when in reality there isn't. The costs to protect the POTUS are the same whether it is in Texas or Cuba, or anywhere else. The only exception is the price of fuel to fly Airforce 1 to those destinations.

And if the POTUS was entertaining heads of state at his home in Chicago you'd whine about that too.

Your whining only exacerbates the untenable position you attempt to hold. Seriously. If you want to hold someone accountable for the mess we are in then why not start with congress? They're the real assclowns in all of this.

Because this has never really been about the mess we're in to them.

You seem to be forgetting what it costs for the hotel rooms which is pretty salty plus the food.  There is also the mileage to consider which is considerably more to travel overseas than from DC to Texas.  Then you have to figure in the factor that a lot of those trips were working trips where he met with foreign leaders so they weren't vacations.
