For example - the deregulation of the insurance industry has pretty much brought us the high deductible health insurance policies that are being rammed down our throats. . . and apply everything toward that deductible until it is met, and all while charging you 20% more in monthly premiums!
And here I thought it was because they could no longer refuse anyone insurance even with a preexisting condition and were, as a result, going to have to pay out more. And before you start with that "well if you were someone with a preexisting condition" stuff I am one of those even though it's only allergies and although I never used it that much when I had it they said the possibility I may have to at some point was always there so both my deductible and my premium was higher and got ridiculous which is why I canceled it in 2000.  Insurance has always been high if you weren't getting group rates but it is going up even with the group rates now.

BULLCRAP PH, the reason it went up is this "Obama" care business.........example, we now have a "slacker mandate," which requires all family policies to cover adult children until they turn 26!....THAT added over another MILLION people back on the program that comes out of MY premiums.

Also the "essential benefits package" a list of health care services that our governmnent decided that our family policies MUST cover is naturally driving up costs....

They are trying to regulate too much and it is making things worse....NOT BETTER.  This HC Bill has GOT to be stopped and we need to just add coverage to medicare and medicade, instead of f'ing up the whole system.

Das right, blame it on da darkie!

And we've trod this path surrounding the HCRA so many times I am beginning to see the earths molten core beneath my hooves.

Here's a clue fer yah, TRY to get your new high deductible healthcare insurance to cover those "essential services" before you've met your deductible. Won't happen. . . What you don't have one of those yet? You will. . .

Let me be perfectly clear on this; I blame congress for it!

Well, Pelosi is the one who said, "lets just pass it and then find out whats in it", they did and guess what.....Soooo I guess you could blame Congress after all.  You don't really think the insurance companies were just gonna sit back and start paying all that money out without raising the cost did you?  Now the alternative to that, when it takes effect that is, would be go on a government plan.  The one Obama and Pelosi said you didn't have to be on if you chose not to and could afford private insurance.

:puke:  I get so sick and tried of you crying  about Pelosi and Reed.  They have only one vote just like everyone else in the House and Senate. :boredone:

What's the matter, don't you like strong smart women and you can't be one for the lack of common sense and brains.  :haha:

Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.
