I've kind of unofficially noticed something around this whole weather pattern. (No scientific evidence what so ever, but simply a personal observation that may pan out should some of the scientific types ever decide to give it a look).

It just seems that in the years in which major earthquakes strike with any kind of frequency, (and I am talking those crust cracker level shakers), the following winter season here in north America gets freaky. Warm where it's supposed to be cold, and cold where it is supposed to stay warm, etc.

My theory is it may very well have something to do with the earth's rotation and an induced variation, or wobble, brought about by these crust crackers. In fact, science did document just such an induced wobble after one of them a few years back. I am betting that such a wobble also disrupts the jet stream etc. as well. . .

I've had the truck plugged in and the winter front on this week. Now it appears I'll have to unplug it and take the winter front off!

The Butt Cutter Captured!

(CNN) -- A man suspected in a series of buttock slashings in Fairfax, Virginia, has been captured in Peru, authorities said.
Johnny D. Guillen, known as the "Corta Nalgas" -- or "butt cutter" -- was captured Friday in Lima, according to Jair Quedas, system operator for Interpol Peru.
Authorities in the United States were looking for Guillen for allegedly cutting the buttocks of 13 young women, according to America Noticias, Peruvian local television.
Fairfax County Police in Virginia posted on its website that the man -- whom it identifies as Johnny D. Guillen Pimentel -- is suspected in a retail store assault that took place last year.
County police set up a task force to try to find a serial assailant responsible for several attacks that took place between February 2011 and July 2011. . . .

Well, I hadn't heard about this, so I guess I'm coming in on the ass-end of the story, but I'm glad the authorities got to the bottom of this and was able to apprehend the man behind all of this. ;D
