Had laparoscopic bilateral hernia repair surgery this morning and am completely impressed with the advances in medicine that have occurred since I last went under the knife 25 years ago!

Yep, that laparoscopic surgery is amazing.  Had that done on my left knee a few years ago for a torn legitimate and it healed quickly, no pain, (didn't even need the pain pills they prescribed for me), and I was up and back to work in a week.  Shouldn't have been actually but the knee felt soooo much better I couldn't stay down.  Went back for the 2wk follow up and the doc said I could quit using the cane even, which was good 'cause I already had for the most part but I didn't tell him that.

Had the same type of operation on my rotor cup about 5 months ago can't hardy see the marks.  Healed good and fast. No pain but don't do push ups to good, just like you will be with sit ups.  Good luck with it.

I had a typo once. Doc told me to take two aspirin and call him in the morning.

It's always darkest before the dawn.  So if you're going to steal your neighbor's newspaper, that's the time to do it.

Conversation with the therapist:

Patient: I just get so pissed off with the older generation.

Therapist: Why?

Patient: Because when I grew up, we were force fed the idea that if we didn't want to end up 'flipping burgers at McDonalds, we'd better go to college.

Therapist: And?

Patient: And now we've gone to college, have degrees, can't get a damn job, and same people call us entitled assholes because we refuse to flip burgers.

Therapist: Touché.
