The Troll

It is something to see Anderson in the shape it is.  All of the store closing and small business shutting down and the old empty buildings and empty house.

But just look a Walmart parking lot, clear full and running over.  People buying foreign products which doesn't do Anderson or the country any good.

While Walmart pay hardly any taxes, minmum wages and takes all of the profit out of Anderson and takes it to Arkansas.  Sure don't make sense to me.

Late last night there was an episode of "South Park" on the comedy channel. It was the one where Cartman takes up defending the new local "Wall Mart", while the rest of his crew goes on the offensive to eliminate it. . .  It made me think of you for the entire half hour of that show!     (Cartman won)

So lets close Wal-Mart and people can go to Noblesville or Muncie and spend their money.  How does that sound Troll?  Oh wait, the people who are employed at this Wal-Mart won't be able too 'cause they will no longer have jobs. Damn, hell of a mess huh?

That could be problematic with gas prices heading upward.

I think it has more to do with the oil well fires and being so dependent on foreign oil since the oil wells were shut down.  BP was just given a new permit to drill off the coast though so things should ease up in about 5yrs when they get a new well going.

That's a load of crap. Big oil raises prices when a bird farts in Zimbabwe. There is no validation for this crap, and yet when alternative energy measures are presented to congress, they stall, and stumble all over themselves to kill it. Why? Because big oil is lining their pockets!

This crap right now is nothing more than market manipulation being undertaken by AMERICAN speculators and investment companies, who flocked to oil reserves when the stock market took a nose dive. Hell, many of the holding facilities in the US are now owned by these same investment companies. They buy cheap and hoard it, driving the price sky high, then dump it when they believe they cannot wring another cent out of us at the pumps. . .

Me thinks you are missing a whole bunch of stuff going on PH.  If you think our increased dependence on foreign oil caused by shutting those wells down has nothing to do with the prices you'd better think about it a little harder.

OMG. . . You've been in the kool aid again haven't you?

We've rehashed this theory 10,000 times, and I am not participating in the 10,001st version.

I'm talking about what's going on now not what was going on before.  We have a slightly different situation now.  Think about it a little deeper.

There is virtually no chance of us increasing that number even if we were to endorse the drill baby drill philosophy. "Reserves" refers to not only produced oil, but takes into account proven but untapped, and unproven untapped resources available to utilize. So, taking all of this into account the US owns only 2% (plus or minus a % point) of the entire oil in the world!

Here's a couple of charts that take into account all reserves world wide by global region. It is important to note that in this chart "North America" includes Canada!

As a foot note; Industry experts calculate that if the US were to tap into all known (Proven and unproven) oil reserves and ramp up production and processing- they would be depleted totally within an 8 year period, leaving the US with NONE to tap into.

Walking in lock step with the far right.  Never a way to stop the foreign good and bring in American goods.  Nothing about the unfair, free trade treaties.

Nothing but more money for the rich and nothing for the middle class.  Most people are not like you with several rental house to rent.  Oh, I was wanting to know if you were having trouble finding good renters with money like there use to be.  I have heard that people with house to rent can't hardly find a reliable renter and even  had to lower their rent to get people into their rentals.
