I have a new respect for Prince Charles, who I'd always thought was a dolt.  Compelling stuff...
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

Nope, missed it. I wonder if it is available "on demand"?

Not sure but I'm sure it will be eventually.  I'm surprised that it's not yet available on the internet as streaming video.  It was really very good...the gist of it was that if we expect to continue living on this planet as a species, we need to figure out how to do so without destroying it.  They discussed an are of science they called bio-mimicry wherein we derive ways of doing things based on how nature does them without contaminating and destroying the environment.  Several examples were given.  Ultimately, the show highlights man's creativity but notes that a shift in paradigm has to occur to prevent us from causing our own demise as a species.

One thing they showed were an air conditioning unit that, if memory serves, uses only 10% of the energy used by current units and how replacing our old outdated technology ultimately creates jobs, lowers energy consumption (and its associated pollution) and lowers long-term costs to the consumers themselves.  A win-win for everyone.

They also discussed how tragic it is that we hold such little regard for the potential demise of enire species on the planet.  Polar bears were one example given as they are obese but never have type II diabetes...perhaps why not is something we could learn from them but not if there aren't any more.  All of it was very thought provoking stuff.

I'm sorry that I missed it. I have a DVR but rarely use it because I don't follow the listings enough to even know what's on. Much of what I see is by accident.

I'll definitely keep an eye out for it on NBC.com and the other TV watching sites.

  A win-win for everyone.

Except for the corporations who stand to profit from maintaining the status quo.

No I have to see this for sure. . .

It sounds from your description like something the party of no will use as a stick to beat people with though. . .  :'(

They're also the selfsame party of those who stand to profit from maintaining the status quo.

The interesting thing about that is that the party which supports corporate greed also claims to be a party for the people.

I just finished the program and it's well worth the 43.04 minutes plus commercials. Everything they said made sense. I'm left feeling so hopeful that it's possible for everyone to get on board and work with each other for the good of the planet and everyone on it. It's just a matter of a short period of time before someone brings me back to reality. :(
