America is not the greatest nation on earth

Had to watch this one a couple of times....and I find I really like the way Jeff Daniels answers this question....take a couple of minutes and watch.

That was pretty good and true, I've had said that for years and you can't believe the altitude and remarks from some people I have said that to.

I am suprise that you  put this on Henry for it true and so many people don't believe it.

But did you look after that monologue at the one in the lower right hand corner, " The Tea Party, the American Taliban".  Then after this on "Bill Maher's New Rule Republican monologue.  They are good to, thanks Henry.

It is common sense talk by Jeff Daniels charactor....what he said is very true.  We need to get our acts together and try to become that nation once again, but I fear we have passed our opportunity.

It is easy to blame the politicians, but it is the people that has changed.  We became soft and spoiled.

Are you in the process of changing?  Because Hank, you've been arguing for years against the concepts that would straighten out those facts given in that clip...

Law of Logical Argument - Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.  ;)

"You've probably noticed that opinion pollsters go out of their way to include as many morons as possible in surveys ... I think it's dangerous to inform morons about what their fellow morons are thinking. It only reinforces their opinions. And the one thing worse than a moron with an opinion is lots of them." -- Scott Adams

In other words: Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  ;)

"It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it." -- Upton Sinclair

"Hitler is gone, but if the majority of our fellow citizens are more susceptible to the slogans of fear and race hatred than to those of peaceful accommodation and mutual respect among human beings, our political liberties remain at the mercy of any eloquent and unscrupulous demagogue." -- S. I. Hayakawa

My hope is that this mild winter doesn't mean another drought this summer.
