The point, Troll, is that he'll likely never see a jury.

Not in a criminal proceeding. . . Civil maybe.

  August 18Th, the Herald bulletin.

A lawyer for an Indianapolis police officer accused of driving drunk and causing a fatal crash is questioning whether police had probable cause to give him a blood test.

Attorney John Kautzman said Tuesday that his motion is aimed at stopping prosecutors' move to suspend David Bisard's driver's license.  The defense lawyer also contends the the police had no reason to believe he'd been drinking.  the test showed Bisard had a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit.

They sure trying to get the drunk killer cop back of the road.  :gha:  :groan:

And here we go...the judge ruled this morning that proper procedures weren't followed so the BAT is out.  The cop doesn't even lose his license.

THIS is the kind of crap that makes the good cops look bad......they had a chance to do the right thing, and make an example out of this kind of behaviour....this guy needs to be locked up with the key thrown away.  He had several opportunities to get help, without effecting his job, and he blew it.  I hope the victims family takes this to a civil case, and get some sort of justice out of this.

What good cops; the ones who intentionally circumvented established procedure to protect their fellow cop?

If you have read any ancient history and about Knight in their shining armor.  Well, they weren't the hero's.

They were the King's tax collectors, his inforcers, his bully boys, thugs, killers, any thing the King wanted.  Here we have the King (Judge) protecting his (Knight) Cop, from the murder of one the King's peasants.

Now who really counts in the King's (judge's) eyes, the Peasant bike rider or the Knight (cop) in shining armor (the badge).  Even a blind man can see the miscarriage of justice.

What kind of money are they going to get out of this drunk.  Blew a 1.9 at 9 o'clock in the morining, on a work day.

If he drinks that much booze, I'll bet he broke and underwater on his house.  The damn bastard doesn't have a dime.  Then what really good, when and if they put his ass in prison, he goes a country club prison and it will cost us the taxpayers around $37,000 a year to keep him there.  3 hots, a cot and medical.

But where would we be if we didn't have them?  It's kind of a damned if ya do and damn if ya don't situation.

We wouldn't have anyone to do the paperwork.  By and large, the role of law enforcement is not to prevent crime but to document it; they are historians of a sort.

Reckless homicide charge remains. . .along with two newly filed charges of criminal recklessness.

Now, watch the mechanical condition of the squad car become an issue. . .

Yup, with a gun with a 14 bullet magazine, Tazers, club, handcuffs, flashlights with lead in the end of it. gloves with lead in the fingers, Pepper spray and the all the training how to use them efficiently.  Plus to get "off", if they kill you.  I wouldn't be surprised if they would dig up the cycle guy and charge him with the interference of a police officer on duty "drunk".

  Yup, their historians.

And the feds are now opening an investigation into the incident!
