Gee, I don't know; could it be because last year right after the state announced increased patrols to crack down on speeders, cops were flying by them at 80 MPH?

Of course, they're better drivers because they're older than I am...no wait, most of them aren't...but they have gone through specialized driver training...no wait, so did I in MP school...but they have more experience driving fast...no wait, I lived in Germany and drove on the autobahn for 5 years...ok, I've got nothin'.

Jack booted thugs! And "some people" want to turn immigration over to these idiots?

Check this out:

AGGRESSIVE SOCIOPATHS derive strong, yet nonperverse gratification from harming others. They like to hurt, frighten, tyrannize, bully, and manipulate. They do it for a sense of power and control, and will often only drop subtle hints about what they are up to. They polish their aggressive, domineering manner in such a way to disguise any intimidation others might feel. They seek out positions of power, such as parent, teacher, bureaucrat, supervisor, or police officer. Their style is one of passive aggression as they systematically go about sabotaging the ideas of others to get their ideas in place. In their spare time, they like to hunt or occasionally do sadistic things like find stray dogs and cut them up. They are usually effective at getting their way, and are especially vindictive if resisted or crossed. They don't follow the social norm of reciprocity like others do.

Purely anecdotal evidence: I once spoke to a forensic psychiatrist about the number of control freaks in the local police force, and asked him why the psychological testing candidates underwent did not weed out these dangerous individual. He told me the profile of characteristics desired in a police officer is so close to a psychopath, there is no way to distinguish between them.

I guess we now know what the term "thin blue line" really means!  :spooked:

Indeed!  I was going to say that she should have posted that tidbit on the other thread where that exact subject is being discussed.

I think it fits on this one fine.  But like I said before, when I said that I did not like the cops we have now, plus the added powers the courts and the State and Federal governments are giving them.  We are headed for a police state.  Bad Laws and Bad Cops.  Remember the day cops pulled a teenager over for a seatbelt violation and he ran.  Speed over 100 in the city.  They chased him until he ran a light and killed a woman and her baby.  They had his licence number, back off, dumbasses.

It really pisses me off when I hear, there are more good cops  than bad cops.  When it come to push to shove, they are all stupid pricks and meatheads.  Remember they will kill you and that's how they are trained.  "Two taps to center chest".  In other words.  Two 357 or two 9 mm gun shots to the heart.  Dead people make poor witnesses.

Many charges against the cop.

And yet he still got out in an hour and a half...normal processing time at the Marion Co. lockup is 20 hours minimum...but he's being treated just like anyone else would be.

They likely processed him quickly for his own safety, but I doubt he deserved it.

One of the motorcyclists struck by Indianapolis Metropolitan Police cruiser has taken the first step toward filing a lawsuit against the city.
A lawyer for injured motorcyclist Mary Mills has informed the city that the family intends to sue for the crash that injured her, killed Eric Wells and left Kurt Weekly in critical condition.
The tort claim notice says Millis fractured a neck vertebrae, broke her collar bone and a shoulder, fractured 11 ribs and has "severe and multi fractures to her pelvis."
Mills also broke her leg and ankle, the notice says.
The notice from lawyer Mark Ladendorf said the monetary extent of the damage could not yet be determined.

Like I said earlier, this is going to cost the city of Indianapolis BIG $$$$$$

Too bad it won't come directly out of his and the pockets of those responsible for keeping him on knowing his record  rather than the tax payers.

I have a feeling that at some point the feds are going to get involved with this. I suspect that more than just the intoxicated officer were complicit in his being behind the wheel and declared fit for duty after 2 psyc reviews within the last year or so.

By law, the city's liability is limited to $700,000.00...isn't that special?

Well, that would be the entire Indianapolis police department.  I bet everybody there knew what a drunk he was.  Blew a 1.8 in the morning.  This guy was a full blown drunk.  A fine example of the Blue Line.  Us cops against everybody else.

I had a wife of a cop tell me, "well, we really can't be friends with anybody else but cops.  It's pretty had to be friends someone you had to give a ticket.  For rolling through a 4-way stop, speeding ticket, a parking ticket.  Especially if it costs them money.

This woman had been one of the most popular girl in our small school.  Majorette, prom queen and on top of that she was a real nice lady.  Her Mistake was marrying a asshole cop.  Killer K.  Anyone who been in Madison county know who "Killer" is.  He has retired, now local town cop, still carries his gun.  Still an asshole.  I'll bet he sleep with his gun.

Mr442

Killer was legendary (and not in a good way) when I was a young lad.  So was Modie Beeman, another fine example.  The bad thing is, there were other's before him who carried a similar reputation, and there will continue to be those well after.

I did know a trooper out of the Pendleton post named Francis, who was truly a great guy.  It's  a shame the good ones get hit with the fall out from the others.
