Wrong, it was 10 months...and it was only 7 months before a Presidential election....a little bit different story.

President Obama nominated Garland on March 16, 2016. Neil Gorsuch, tRump's nominee, was confirmed on April 7, 2017. That's more than ten months, thank you.

I watched every damn minute today. I went into it with an open mind. Dr. Ford gave a very compelling testimony. And I believe her mostly (I'll explain later.)

Kavanaugh also gave a convincing, if somewhat too forceful, performance. Although I am very curious as to why he refused to answer many questions from several committee members about whether he favored an FBI investigation.

I have a somewhat radical theory so bear with me.

They both were telling the truth. Technically.

Maybe Dr. Ford was slightly mistaken as to who was on top of her in that bedroom. Maybe Mark Judge was the guy on top of her and when she started screaming, Kavanaugh put his hand on her mouth and that's who she saw. So technically Kavanaugh is telling the truth when he says he didn't assault her. And maybe that's why Mark Judge went into hiding and refused to testify. But since Kavanaugh was in the room, he could be considered an accomplice. And the republicans knew it. That's why they have fought so hard to keep Mark Judge from publicly testifying under oath. And that's why the republicans refuse to bring the FBI in to investigate THIS allegation.

Just your opinion which I 100% find obnoxiously ridiculous and based upon zero facts.

But that seems to be the way liberals roll these days.

Plausible. Highly plausible. And it wouldn't surprise me if it were true.

So the fact I like Trump is reason enough for you to not care about my thoughts?

Wow!  There is no chance you watched that hearing with an open mind as you claim...you already had him guilty!

Nope. I was really watching with an open mind.

And yeah. If you're ignorant enough to still be backing tRump, then you probably have the reasoning power of a peanut.

I think it's entirely possible that it happened exactly the way she said it did and that he was simply too drunk to remember any of it.

Having said that and putting aside the whole he said she said for the time being, how can anyone who watched that think that he has the temperament one would expect of someone sitting on the Supreme Court?  Can a person who goes off the rails into some bizarre conspiracy theory about how this is all revenge for something or other about the Clintons really be expected to be an impartial arbiter of the law?

If this hearing in the Senate, controlled by the Republicans was American justice,  Just wait until the Republican control the Supreme court.

They will whittle away all of the rights of the American middleclass, especially the right of the American women.  The super rich and the corporations will rule everything and the rich will get richer.

This is the crime of the century.  America justice died yesterday and the Robber Barons are back, just like in the 1800s.  This is what happens when the idiots win an election.
