I have played the same game, and while maybe 10% are people like you (I mean that as a compliment) about 90% are people who have NO CLUE....just watch Watter's World sometime!...There is a whole crowd that is what I call the "Tiger Beat" crowd.......those who are in love with Hollywood celebs and can tell you all about Ellen but couldn't tell you who the VP.

Just for arguments sake, I can name several folks who are Trump supporters who are running brilliant business and highly successful people.  But I KNOW, you will come back with a pretty significant Smart Ass Remark....

Did you bother to read the entire article?  Yes, it has been in decline for 12 years but the rate of that decline increased sharply in 2017.  Do you not understand what these isolationist policies ultimately mean?  We are abdicating our place as a world leader and Russia and China are happily stepping in to fill the void.  Do you think the U.S. is powerful enough to take on the rest of the world all at once?

I'm not avoiding your question but I did read it and by gauging the chart, it appears that 2015 is just as "inclined" as 2017...also, the article is CLEARLY leaning left.


My OPINION is, that the United States is now, more than ever (at least since Reagan) THEE global power.  We have a strong economy, our military is getting stronger.....and we have strong alliances.

Iraq is showing a stronger democracy with Trump due to the insurgent attacks on ISIS....Trump is standing up to Iran, which may eventually allow the people there to stand up to its dictatorship.  He has had success meeting with world leaders....Go ask Poland...

The abundant hatred of Trump by democrats and the media is not giving Trump the credit he is deserving....but as I have stated, time will when over the truth.  Actions are louder than words.

In the 2013 government shutdown, about 850,000 government employees were furloughed each day -- and there could be a similar number this time around.

1.87 million civilian government workers could be exempt from furlough -- including the workers at the Transportation Security Administration and food safety inspectors, border patrol officers and federal prison guards.

Up to 417 national park sites could be closed, though the Trump administration is going to "try to allow limited access wherever possible."

19 Smithsonian museums could be closed.

700,000 undocumented immigrants who are part of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program will be affected, as there's currently no fix in place ahead of the March 5 deadline.

9 million children who are under the Children's Health Insurance Program -- whose parents usually earn too much to qualify for Medicaid but not enough to afford private health coverage -- will have less certainty about the future of their health care.
