The fact is racism is STILL a huge problem in this nation. And when you allege that I am one of them then I will expect you to prove same.

There is a stark difference between the two instances. When one supports racist activities, statements, actions, or repeats them; the assumption is (and it is a reasonable assumption), that they are racist. It matters not whether or not they are cognizant of the covert meaning(s) of same, for they are furthering the progression of an illegal act. The impetus is upon them to prove otherwise.

and I say, give Trump a chance first........he has only been in for 6 mo's........If he hasn't accomplished many of the promises by the end of his first term, then I would agree with you........he is facing an extremely hostile congress (both dem and rino's) and a media who is PISSED that he won and isn't going to sleep until they damage him.

I will support him with all my might until he proves he cannot deliver his promises.

The reality is CONGRESS  (all of them) borrowed the funds from SS, and it was paid back.

The reality is jobs are paying less so the revenue stream going into SS/Medicare is shrinking.

The reality is discrimination is rampant in the hiring process as well. Ageism for example. And with the federal bar set so high only a video of the hiring official(s) saying you are too old will meet it.

The reality is that a very large percentage of those that have traditionally bolstered the revenue streams for SS/Medicare, (30-60 year old age bracket), are underemployed, unemployed, or dying due to lack of work or reasonable means of self-sustainment.

All of this being the case, . . . under current projections, the combined Social Security trust funds will continue to run annual surpluses until 2020.  The interest income that the trust funds earn on their bonds, as well as the proceeds the trust funds will receive when their bonds are redeemed, will enable Social Security to keep paying full benefits until 2034.

In 2034, the combined trust funds are projected to run out of Treasury bonds to cash in.  At that point, if nothing else is done, Social Security could still pay three-quarters of its scheduled benefits using its annual tax income.  Contrary to a common misunderstanding, benefits would not stop.  Of course, paying three quarters of promised benefits is not an acceptable way to run the program, and Congress should take action well before 2034 to restore long-term solvency to this vital program.. . .
