Where do I start? How much stupidity can you find here?

Illinois Republican Sen. Mark Kirk  -

""We had the previous warming period, which was called global optimum, and the best way to talk about that is when (Leif Eriksson) went west from his home, he discovered a land mass that he called Greenland, because it was. And that was called the global optimum, because the planet was much warmer. By calling Greenland 'green land,' we know that the climate has been changing pretty regularly within recorded memory."

Who discovered Greenland? Hint: it wasn't Leif Eriksson.

he called Greenland, because it was. No - Erik the Red named it Greenland in an attempt to lure settlers in search of land and the promise of a better life.

Scientists have estimated that the Greenland ice sheet is between 400,000 and 800,000 years old. This means that the island today is unlikely to have been markedly different when Europeans settled there.

Holy hell. . . The GOP is trotting out a bevy of idiots, each hoisting their hats into the ring for the party nomination for POTUS; and the saddest part of it all is that I wouldn't trust a single one of those asshats.

Mitt "It's Business" Romney, who was busy crowing how he was not going to run to anyone with a note pad and microphone.

Chris "I wanna' be a Cowboy BAYBEEE" Christy, who has been sucking up to Jerry's kids and trolling for a hefty campaign donation. . .

And so many others it would be easier to list who is NOT running. . .  :roll eyes:

They are acting like a school of frenzied sharks, the only problem is the only thing in the water is chum. . .  :rotfl:

Pretty bad to be so loathed that your bartender wants to poison your ass.  ;D

That guy sounds like a psycho though.

Nothing like lying politicians, and in particular, a lying Mitt Romney or at least a lying son of Mitt Romney.  This is from a CNN article this morning about Romney throwing his hat in the ring for president yet again:

"One source close to Romney, who has spoken with him about this calculation, puts it this way: "This is about the burning ambition of a guy who believes he would be a great president. He believes he is the right guy for the job. Period. It's not complicated."

Now let's go back to Christmas Day 2012 when this little gem came out:

"No one wanted to be president less than Mitt Romney, his son said in an interview out Sunday that raises new questions about the candidacy of the losing Republican nominee.

...

"He wanted to be president less than anyone I've met in my life. He had no desire... to run," Tagg Romney said. "If he could have found someone else to take his place... he would have been ecstatic to step aside."

Mitt Romney "is a very private person who loves his family deeply and wants to be with them. He loves his country, but he doesn't love the attention," his son said.

So which is it Mitt?  Those are clearly two contradictory descriptions of the exact same man and his supposed ambitions according to one story, or lack of ambitions according to the other.

Yeah, that guy is a lunatic.

I went to lunch with a sales rep from the Cincinnati area.  He grew up very close to Boehner.  He says he is a very well respected home guy. He mows his own grass.  You can see him at local stores shopping. He is well liked.

With that said, I AM NOT A FAN of his.  I wanted his ass booted from the SOTH.

Yeah, like everything you read is an accurate story too, right?

c'mon.  Mitt IS NOT my candidate of choice, but I watched the video on him, and I think he IS a good man.  He is not the EVIL Businessman out to screw the little guys.  He has a different philosophy on how to govern this country.  I think he has very honorably intentions.  AND, I think, this country WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER OFF, had he won the election.

But, we will never know.  I am not ready to throw my support behind him, but I think there are several worse people that could be running.

Big deal, if he said he did or didn't want to run.  Running for the POTUS has got to be very DRAINING on a persons soul.  The media alone can nearly ruin ya.  I don't know WHY a person would want to go through all of that in the first place.

How can you suggest that there's something untrue about either or both of those stories?  One is from a Romney insider, and the other is from his own son.  It's highly unlikely that either of those stories are untrue.

Personally, I think his son was lying when he said that about his dad back in December 2012.  If Romney hadn't wanted to be president, he wouldn't have been in the race.  I think what was really in play there was Tagg Romney trying to save face after his father's disastrous loss, and not knowing how utterly ridiculous he sounded while doing so.

Maybe not but he doesn't care if the little guys get fucked as a result of him enriching himself so it's pretty much the same thing.

Bullshit!   I can say the same thing about Sharpton. He can care less about his people, as long as he is making a buck, all is good.

I absolutely agree about Sharpton; he's a piece of shit.  Doesn't mean that Romney isn't...sorry you're not smart enough to see that.
