  Why don't you stop watching Fox News, they have fried your brain.     Henry, what would you do if this was your son.    Your son who went off the deep end and did something stupid.  After being a prisoner of the Taliban for 5 years, you would want his head and put in prison again.   Maybe he could have committed suicide like some many of our soldiers, like so many of our troops who are brain damaged from George W. Bush's wars.   

  Nobody and may I repeat, NOBODY knows what happened, you sure don't.     I know he was the last prisoner of war of George W's wars and needs to come home.  These 5 so called terrorist would have been released anyway, just like they did after WW2, WW1, Korea, Vietnam and the war between the states.  Your boy is in the army and who knows where he might be someday.

Where did I imply I was watching Fox.  I haven't.  I rarely watch foxnews.  Believe it or not.  I don't have time to watch it at home, I spend most of my time with my kids or working around the house.  ,All the info I got has been from WIBC a local radio in Indy, that I listen to at work (sometimes).  All I know is, we let five "terrorists" go free, in exchange for our soldier.  That is a fact.

These guys are NOT "freedom fighters".   Some of them are vicious killers, who have killed 1,000's of shiites, they are wanted by the UN because of war crimes.  According the Department of Defense, they are listed as a "HIGH risk, and are likely to pose a threat to the US, its interests and allies."

They have been associated with members of al-Qaida, Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, and the Hezb-E-
Islami Gulbuddin.

Khair Ulla Said Wali has been identified as one of the major opium drug lords in Western Afghanistan.  He also represented the Taliban and attended meetings between Taliban and Iranian officials to seek support of hostilities against the US and Coalition forces.

In any case, negotiating for the release of American POW's has a long and storied history; and by todays definition of the the term terrorists, the Japanese and Germans would have met that definition during WWI and II. . .

The reality is that without these negotiations most, if not all, of this countries POW's in every war, would have died in captivity.

The thing people forget to do, each and every time one of these exchanges takes place, is ask yourself; How would you feel if it were your son or daughter?

The reality is, every last one of them are our sons and daughters.

Yes, whether he did go AWOL but it was always my understanding that U.S. has never negotiated with terrorists.  I am sure once he is debriefed and thoroughly investigated that we will find out more. Hopefully, the news is making a lot of this on his supposedly going AWOL but I don't agree with the 5 terrorists being given.
