. . .Boston (CNN) - The Republican National Committee approved a resolution Friday vowing to sideline CNN and NBC from the presidential primary debate process in 2016 unless the networks abandon plans to produce programs about Hillary Clinton.

CNN recently commissioned a documentary film about Clinton, the former first lady, U.S. senator and secretary of state, that is scheduled to run in theaters and on CNN sometime in 2014.

NBC, meanwhile, is developing a dramatic miniseries about Clinton, who is considering a second presidential bid and would almost certainly enter the race as the Democratic frontrunner in 2016.

"For the first time our party rules allow us to take action on these debates. So it is time that we do what's right for our party and our candidates. And by the way, it is the right thing to do for our voters," RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said at the meeting. . . .

Who really gives a crap about Billary anyway?  All it's going to be is a big expensive political add which is what the whole problem is, the timing of it.

What's unethical about a documentary played by actors made 3+ years before any election that she may or may not be involved in?  If I recall correctly, there hasn't even been a final commitment to even making the damn thing anyway.

Reince Priebus should be trying to steer the party toward winning in the marketplace of ideas and policies rather than worrying about bullshit like this.

He's an iditot.

Now c'mon 'me.'  It's apparent that Reince Priebus and the RNC are very much worried about them, as they should be.  Like I told HH, if they want to win, they had better come up with some policies and ideas that are attractive to the electorate rather than making silly attempts to repeal Obamacare, suppress documentaries, etc.

Also, what is the problem with the timing of it?  I could understand some hint of that concern if this was the summer of 2016.  It's not.  The next presidential election is 3+ years off and it's far from a certainty that she's going to run anyway.

The RNC and Reince Priebus are acting like children throwing a collective temper tantrum over what's really a non-issue at this point.

Nope, if the republicans had the mainstream media in their back pockets, they would NOT have to worry about anything.......the MSM would destroy any candidate that the dems had and the repub candidate would be put on a pedestal. That is the way it just is.

What exactly is the definition of mainstream media as you see it?  Before the advent of Fox News and their obvious bias, we never heard that term used by any Republican.  So what is it?  Is it any media outlet, domestic or international, that isn't Fox News?

And by the way, the word 'news' is a misnomer when used in conjunction with what they do on that channel.  Rupert Murdoch even admitted to it.

If this is true, how did Bush get elected and then re-elected?

Your double standards sicken me. You think it is just fine for the GOP to trounce all over freedom of speech and other constitutionally guranteed rights, as long as it supports your purpose; but reverse the situation and you'd be squalling like a whore in church !

Hum, that's odd I haven't noticed the conservatives trying to shut down entire networks or news organizations for having opposing opinions or shut people up by discrediting them by means of personal attacks on them and their families.
