I'll tell you something Obama didn't do; Obama didn't sacrifice the lives of 4,500 American service members and maim and disfigure tens of thousands of others for no other reason than getting the oil companies who are now screwing us at the pump access to Iraq's oil fields.  That's what he didn't do.

Never said tht Afghanistan produces oil, but it occupies a strategic position between the Caspian Sea and the markets of Asia.....so, give yourself a reality check and tell me WHY we are there NOW.

Wait!!!  You guys said they was NO threat!! Obama certainly did, he was even ready to close Gitmo!  We just had to change our language and quit calling them "terrorists".......YOU guys said it was IMPOSSIBLE to win a war on terrorism.  We was wasting money.  Now, which is it?

We said Iraq was never a threat...and it wasn't.  I don't recall anyone ever saying that we should not go to Afghanistan after 9/11 to attack Al Qaeda and oust the Taliban who were giving them refuge.

The issue of winning a war against a tactic rather than a specified group of enemy combatants is a completely different conversation.  But hey, keep throwing unrelated shit at the wall and maybe some of it will stick and help you divert attention away from Iraq having been solely about gaining access to oil and about how our soldiers lives were lost or destroyed not in defense of our country but in the pursuit of corporate wealth.  It would have been far easier to have simply given those corporations the hundreds of billions of dollars of our tax dollars that it has and continues to cost us.

Have we also forgotten that the comments made during the Bush administration were made based on intel provided by that administration that was knowingly falsified?  There were never any WMD's...the entire thing was about oil and virtually everyone involved has said as much.

This is what's fucked up about our country...we send thousands of our troops to die and tens of thousands to be maimed and spend hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayer money all to benefit big oil's coffers...something about which every American should be enraged...and some people still want to pretend like it was this big altruistic freedom mission about which we should be thankful.  Honestly...WTF?

In hind sight, if we had merely stopped after our shock and awl and never sent in any ground troops, I would have been completly okay with it....but we are STILL involved in places we should not be.  Yes, I agree that Politics in general had their way at the expense of the taxpayers and our men & women who served.
