Why did you post it?
Because I had been wondering about the "legitimate rape" part of the comment, I knew the other part was waaaaaay out in left field.  Now how he actually meant it only he knows for sure but if I hear that "legitimate rape" term used again I'll think about it a little differently.  I was so taken aback by his statement I wasn't even thinking about the women who cry rape and it either really wasn't or they had never even been touched they just wanted to get even with a guy for something he may have done they didn't like and they were pissed at him.

The person who the article was about was raped and was conceived by rape so you'd think she would have addressed that part too but she didn't.

According to the article, there's a good likelihood that she and her mother are both lying.

That is exactly why GM suspended Chevy Volts productions....there are not enough people who want it.

Good grief!  Talk about critical thinking and then post that tripe!

It's not that people don't want it, the thing is they don't want that inferior product at an exhorbitant price.  The problem is typical corporatism.  Instead of supplying a product to fit the needs of the public and one they can actually use, and at a price the public can afford, the typical corporate mind spits in the public's face and basically says 'take it or leave it' and then the corporation and all you corporate shills cry to high heaven and use corporate failings as an excuse to further your corporate agenda.

Sheesh!  Get real!  This has been a problem with the corporate automotive industry for at least a half century.

and that is liberal approach to everything...SCARE TACTICS!

If the repubs get elected african americans will be back in chains....

If the repubs get elected old people will lose medicare....

There will be a "war on women" if repubs are elected...

If you really think republicans WANT to be a third world country and are not smart enough to advance ourselves, then I see no need to conduct a logical debate any further...it just shows you love the propaganda being spewed.

So tell us, Hank, are the Repugs lying about their actions, ideology, issues, and platform?

It appears you have a conundrum.  If the Repugs are telling the truth, then it's not 'scare tactics' from the left, it's a much needed warning.  If the Repugs are lying, then it's obvious they're untrustworthy and aren't fit to be elected dog catcher much less any Federal, State, or Local office.

Hummmm.

first of all, it will create more than 3,000,000 jobs, that alone is a good reason to open up more wells on public land and coastline...we need jobs desperately.  It would create more need for cement, steel, engineering services and laborers...

I would hope you have some actual evidence supported by facts for those prognostications?

THAT is just as important as lowering the cost.  And, common sense still dictates, the more open and aggressive the oil market is, the price WILL come down.  Until our competitors understands we ARE moving forward, they control the pumps.

Jeezus!  Another instance where you show you don't understand the economy.  How may times has it been pointed out what causes the price of oil to be ridiculously inflated and yet you still spout that sort of ignorant - no not ignorant, stupid - crap.

Certainly you don't expect these illiterates to be able to read much less understand that fairly straightforward and undeniable truth?  <- Rhetorical question.

Another thing Ex, it's another example of their lack of knowledge of history.

Electric cars aren't new ideas - over a century old - and many original's have respectable or better stats compared to today's.  The rise of the petroleum industry effectively sealed their fate.

Just think where the technology might be had we not allowed the oil industry to control the transportation needs of this country.

Another fun thing to research is the ties the oil and auto industry had to the construction of the interstate highway system and the demise of our railroad and public transportation systems.  ; )

That's called more people own cars and it's easier to get from point "A" to point "B" than it was years ago.  Also there are more people who prefer planes which are quicker than passenger trains.  So I guess you could tie the oil and auto industry indirectly to the demise of our public transportation system.

"Y" you do know that the Hawk has a problem.  He hates General Motors and he hates the UAW, he hates all unions.  The people who works for unions make to much money and have too many benefits.  Even tho his dad is a GM retire and through the UAW receives a good sum of money each month which his dad can live and have a good life and his dad doesn't have to mooch off of Henry.   Where does he come up with his Republican shit.

It is a known fact that General Motor put the electric trolleys and replaced them with GM diesel engines.  Remember the electric buses in Indianapolis.  No smoke, no smell and no noise.

But some how The Hawk thinks that the UAW drove GM out of Anderson.  I don't think The Hawk has ever heard of George H. Bush's NAFTA and George W's fast track free trade treaties which let the big corporations ship jobs out of our country.  Also NAFTA put other American business into bankrupsey because they could not compete with slave wages.  Henry is Bat Shit Crazy.  :tiphat:

I think it's jealousy.  People like Hank didn't land one of those good union manufacturing jobs so in their spite the unions are to blame.  I doesn't make any difference that things were changed on a political level that allowed those amoral capitalists to go outside the country and use slave wages to build products that somehow never managed to decrease in price - ignoring the fact that if labor costs were the real problem, then using slave wages should have resulted major product price decreases.

You're right about GM, it had plenty to do with the end of the Interurban and other public transportation we needed then and is imperative today.  GM also had its hand in the interstates in order to sell its trucks, the byproduct being the loss of our rail infrastructure.

Anyone with any sense knows there ain't nary sech critter as 'free trade'.  It's a lie the corporatists have sold the sheep so they'd vote in the corporatist's interests.
