I produced hard working American consumers who contribute by doing their share and are not living off the government.  Two of my daughters also served in the military, one Navy and one Air Force, and one of them married someone who served in the military and is now gainfully employed as a jet mechanic.  They also graduated with honors from high school, two were in the honor society.  I am not a freeloader in any sense of the word which is what I'm thinking you're implying by some of your statements directed at me.

Whoooooooo!  I say whoooooooo old mare!  When you are in the armed forces, you are living off the government.  Food, lodging, clothes, medical, vacations, travel pay, dental, eye glasses, PX privileges, retirement and who know what else.   When you are in, you are living in the most socialize form of living there is.

All of this pay for by the United States Government which comes from the taxes the middle class pays.  Hell, Old Hawk got his boy on the gravy train.  You guys don't want to pay taxes, but boy O boy do you know how to get on the gravy train.  Talk about hypocrites.

I'm glad you view being in the Military as a free ride on the government.  I'm sure Ex will appreciate and share that view with you and I'm equally sure PH will do the same.

Who said it was a free ride.  But when you are in service you are owned by the service.  But, you do work for the government and you are paid by the government.  You live off the tax payers.   No matter what you say, 80% of the people has got it made.   You do know that it takes 7 people to support 1 person in combat.

Here you are a mother of two Socialist brats living off the government.  :haha:

:bird: :bird:  :bird: The little birdies are talking or should I say a Stool Pigeon is talking.  The grape vine says that a person from Bain Capital says that the Golden Mitt Romney didn't pay any taxes for 10 years.  No wonder that he made so much money so quickly and John McCain didn't choose him to run as a running mate.  :haha:  :haha:   :rotfl:

After hearing this, we want to see your tax returns and your records of the 8 offshore banks and your business in Cayman Islands.

But the Hawk and the Old Red Head think Romney is such an honest guy.  Give me a break.

Then you should be glad Romney didn't serve in the military instead of putting him down for it.  You had also better be glad we have people willing to serve.  Was your sorry ass in the military?

Let me tell you this too Troll ya better lay off the family put downs.  I don't care what you say to me but don't start on my kids.

I can see how one could reach such a conclusion when serving in the peace-time military, but that has not been true for damn near a decade now. The "peace nicks" pulled the ejection lever as soon as the saber rattling started in '02 - '03. So the gravy train has not been a reality for quite sometime now.

Seeing how you served during a war, I don't quite understand how you can paint today's active military with such a brush loaded with the broad-strokes of ignorance.

And anyone who thinks our veterans do not deserve the benefits they are receiving is either a moron or an idiot. Yes, it is part of the job. War sucks, and killing another human being, maiming and being maimed, all come with the territory. And the jobs are there for anyone who thinks its such a cake walk and gravy train. I don't see anyone in uniform but those who possess the internal fortitude necessary to do the job that needs doing in complete acceptance of the risks involved.

And yes, I am a hiring manager and I admit to giving due weight to our returning veterans when screening applicants. In my view, anyone willing to lay their ass on the line during war and returning with enough sense and mental dexterity to be capable and willing to work to support their families, deserves my support in helping them achieve that objective. (And I am proud to say that is a view my employer supports at the corporate level).

I currently count 4 Iraq / Afghanistan veterans under my direction, each of which I hired. And they are some of the best damned workers I have. They understand the chain of command, they understand the importance of following procedure, and they aren't shy about it either and will call out their peers when they fail to do so; despite the fact their peers may have years of experience on them.

I look for them each time I have an opening, and while I do not hire every one of them and work within the procedures and policies I am required to, when a diamond presents itself to me it doesn't take much effort to make it shine.

It isn't a gravy train anymore. A lot of these men and women have served several tours in combat zones, looking death squarely in the face each and every second of those tours. While I may not agree with the reasons they are sent into harms way, I damned sure admire their courage, dedication, and commitment. They've earned every single benefit they receive, and then some in my book.

And they did so to ensure your right to voice an opinion opposite of mine; which in the final analysis is why they chose the career path that led them to the military in the first place. They did not go to war for oil, they went because it was their duty as prescribed to them by the CIC. . . Don't hold them accountable for something that was not within their power to decide. They upheld their duty as was required, and we damned well need to uphold our end of things as well.

Palehorse, I 100% agree with you, and this is one of the reasons I do admire you....despite our political differences.  This is very, very well said.  I too, have had the honor of influencing our company to hire a couple of young military men to work in the field of my department, and they are outstanding workers and just good people. A real asset to our company.

Yes Sweet Lips   I was in it for about four years in the Army.  Did you give your time in the service of your country.  No!  You just sat on your big fat ass watching someone else do it for you.  Just like you sat back and watch George W. kill over 4500 service people and injuring over 25,000 it two unfunded wars.

Old Golden boy Mitt was over in France living in a chateau with a cook and servants.  Walking around Paris with his Mormon Bible sing the praises of the Mormon god.  Was Mitt over there to push the Mormon religion, NO!  He was over there dodging the draft, because he's to much of a chicken shit to put his life on the line for America.

"ME" your just like Henry, you don't know shit.  Honey Poo.    And your kids, they were Socialist living off the government.  So get your bunched up panties out of your crack and realize that it wasn't a put down that they were in the service of their country.  Somebody has to carry the chicken hawk Republicans asses.  People that wouldn't fight in a war, But only how to start one with other people kids to fight it for them.

I still say that if you are in the Armed Forces, you're living a Socialist live.  And if you are not on the front line working supplying the people in combat, you're on the gravy train.  Right now the only people who are not on the gravy train are in Afghanistan.  Any where else in the world they have it made.

Another tidbit, Ann Romney's dancing horsey is worth $500,000, a half of a million dollars.  And the Golden Mitt get to take $77.000 off his taxes for taking care of and flying the dancing horsey around the world.  :sneaky:

Man oh man, just the man to understand the problems of the middle class people.

He pays $77,000 for his dancing horsey.  That's three times what a lower middle class people make in a year.  As the Rich Loving Hawk says, "Vote for Mitt, he under stand how poor you are and he's turn a new leaf.  Instead of taking your job, your pension, outsourcing, offshoreing your job.  The Golden Con Man is going to find you a job.  Now it won't be a union job or a high paying job.  Needlessly to say, he will put you to work.  Working more hours and for less pay.  :haha:  :haha:

You calling people in the military socialists is plain inexcusable Troll especially after siding with Ex and bad mouthing people who have never served.  Trying to live on Military pay is not exactly gravy train wages and the people in the Military pay tax's too not to mention the medical care they get is less than desirable in most cases.

ME, his comments are not even worth responding too.  He clearly does not understand our Constitution or our American Heritage.  I don't waste my time when he says such ridicules comments.

What would you call it.  They are and were living off taxpayer money.  As far as them having a hard time with their wages, they should of thought of it before they went in.  You do know you do have a choice.  It is a voluntary military service and don't tell me it was because they wanted to serve in the military for honor and glory and the American way of life.  That's crap.

They were looking for a job, some training, a college education and not a career, if it was so great why did they get out.  I'll tell you why, they got their eyes opened.  Military life is not what they were told it would be in so many ways, it just sucks.  They ask for it.  I went in because of the draft, I had no other choice.  I had a friend who got drafted into the Marines, the Marines was something I did not want.  We make choices and you got to live with them.

So don't give me all of the Stars and strips and Glory Forever :bs:, it's not that great.  Old Golden Boy miss all of the good life and the money he could have made in the military service.  And you want this draft dodger to be commander in Chief.  Oh, I forgot that George W. was a deserter when he went AWOL from the Texas Air National Guard.  How funny you Republicans like draft dodgers and deserters to be President of the United States of America.  :4th3: :salute:
