Private Jobs Down 4.6 Million From January 2008; Federal Jobs Up 11.4%

So where are all those jobs those tax breaks for the rich are supposed to be generating then?  :roll eyes:

That just proves we need to end them now!

It is called consumer confidence...and it is lacking miserably........the Index dropped to 64.9 for May, marking the third consecutive monthly decline, and still far below any hint of a return to a healthy economy.

Real hope for a better tomorrow can begin on November 6, election day.

Bullshit. You conservatives keep using the "job creator" status for the wealthy as support for that crap, and it has created zero jobs.

So if the POTUS is right and the private sector is doing well, then maybe that is validation of the theory. But no, you guys say he is wrong and they aren't doing well, so it supports the opposition to the tax cuts for the wealthy altogether.

Yet another in a 4 year long string of examples wherein the conservatives will say no to everything, even if it is their own propaganda or legislation.

Don't forget about all the new regulations this administration has imposed on job creators and new business start ups.

bullshit!
good word!!  bullshit!

It is the perfect word to describe the logic of the democrat party.  ;)

I will stand behind my beliefs, because the are true and accurate.
How is the private sector doing well, when there is OVER 8% unemployed....and more than likely around 10% or higher...

You dems was bitchin (another good word.. ) when it was around 6%.....

adn btw,

We say NO to wasteful spending.
We say NO to a HealthCare Bill that was too big for Pelosi and congress to read before they voted for it.
and further more we say NO to four more years of this "stale" economy.

And it was the relaxing/non-enforcement of regulations that got us into this mess in the first place.

Did you even bother to really read your own article?  Please note that the time period in question begins in January, 2008.  Who was president then?  Oh, that's right...not Obama...

"Private payrolls have been trending higher in the last couple of years while government has been shedding staff. But that's because governments did not cut jobs right away. Overall government employment didn't peak until April 2009, 16 months after the recession started. It didn't fall below their January 2008 level until September 2010."

You're impossible.

In addition to the horrible jobs report, GDP growth that was already lagging was revised downward yesterday by the Commerce Department to an anemic 1.9%.  About 23 million Americans are out of work, underemployed, or have given up even trying to find a job.  Half of all college graduates can't find full-time jobs in their profession a year after finishing school, and scores are forced to move back home with their parents.  Families have lost one-third of the value in their home resulting in 31.4% of homeowners underwater on their mortgage. Median household income is down $4,300.   The percentage of the population employed or looking for a job is the smallest in more than 30 years.  And, the federal debt has increased 50% just since Obama took office.

And yet, last month Obama claimed that "extraordinary progress" had been made in recovering from the economic downturn.

to paraphrase another poster on here........ "BULLSHIT!"
