Topeka — House Speaker Mike O'Neal, R-Hutchinson, on Thursday issued an apology for an email he forwarded to fellow House Republicans that refers to first lady Michelle Obama as "Mrs. YoMama" and compares a photograph of her to a picture of the Grinch.

And so that automatically makes all Conservatives racist, even the black ones.  That doesn't even make sense.

"You lie!"  -- Senator Joe Wilson (R-SC)

How can that statement be considered racist?  That was an opinion based on what he was hearing at the time.

Negative.

1.  He's a former member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

2.  When he worked for Strom Thurmond (a segregationist himself), and Thurmond was revealed to be the father of his black maid's daughter, ole' Joe said the damn bitch should have kept her trap shut.

3. He's pals with the Federation for American Immigration Reform.  (I'll let you look them up and see what they're all about.)

Every president lies to a certain extent.  That goes with the territory unfortunately.  But you can bet your bottom dollar that there's only one kind of president that racist would disrespect enough to shout it out in the middle of a joint address to Congress.  BTW, recall how after those comments, he became a GOP fundraising sensation virtually overnight?

It was a knee jerk reaction to something that was said and he apologized.  Get over it.

All conservatives are not racist and being a liberal does not guarantee that one is not a racist.  I'm not denying that there are racists but to accuse everyone who disagrees with Obama's policies a racist is not even logical.  If his policies are that great and you can't disagree with them then he should remain president from now on because all those who have different ideas about how things need to be done are racist and that would include those liberals who disagree with him.

You all really need to get past that racist stuff and start seeing him as a man first.  He needs the same vetting all the other candidates have gone through, including digging into his past.  Quit focusing on the racist thing.  It is a detraction pure and simple.  The media uses it to get people fired up and do just exactly what it is doing here.  You get people talking about that and it gets them off the real issues.

You know what scares me? That we have voters that ...

Read an article about the mini Ice Age (16th to 19th centuries) where it stated that it got so cold that grapes couldn't be grown in England. Then this person assumed that they were talking about current conditions and posted that "right now" they "can't grow grapes in England."

Read a few excerpts from Obama's book and then asserted that he was a slacker in college, even though it clearly stated that those events took place in high school.

Claimed that Romney's bullying of a gay student and forcibly cutting his hair took place in "grade school" when it was in his senior year of high school.

Claimed that the victim doesn't remember the incident, even though the victim died eight years ago, well before the incident became news.

Tried to weasel out of that statement by claiming she was talking about his parents. Never answered the question "are his parents even alive?"

Yep. Scary indeed!
