PH, I really don't care anymore what YOU think...I let that go a couple of days ago.

this is a FACT, not an opinion...........In July of 2008, President Bush removed the executive-branch moratorium on offshore drilling....Oil was $126 per barrel.
By December of that year, it was $32 per barrel!!!  Our gas pumps was $1.80 a gallon....We are back to almost $110 per barrel now.

look it up...it is a fact....

There IS a silver bullet to fix the price of gas.........it has been proven.  All I have done on here was puts some thoughts out there...and IT ALWAYS GETS TURNED INTO A....personal attack, with all the name-calling....and I am good with that, I simply consider the source.

I've been up and down this road with you so many times, and you insist on staying in the weeds; the deep weeds. So be it.

And on 20 April 2010 that poorly thought through and under-regulated decision to unleash an off-shore drilling frenzy resulted in the greatest oil spill in US history, that continued until September. (Transocean received a partial payment for the loss of the rig by 10 May 2010, while their rig's environmental damage continued to accumulate). FACT.

And this nations environment will continue to reap the bitter environmental harvest of that rash and ill-advised decision for decades to come. And all you seem to care about is well. . . nothing much.

The rest of your hyperbole above is not worth my time or effort, especially given you continue to practice your now signature "say it and it is so" methodology endlessly; despite empirical evidence and proof that clearly demonstrates the fallacies you propagate.

You refuse to acknowledge proven facts despite that they are proven by some of the best minds on this planet. (scientific, financial, geological, etc.)

I and others here have provided links to said information and FACTS that you and others abjectly reject without any type of rebuttal that comes close to credibility; and often without even bothering to read through it.

I refuse to waste any additional time or effort in attempting to engage in dialog with anyone who refuses to put forth the slightest bit of effort toward doing anything more than regurgitate worn out talking points and political propaganda; and all without even doing a modicum of research surrounding the validity of same. (If you did even that much I could validate extending you some attention, yet time and time again your flotsam has proven to be nothing more than jetsam, as in this case).

And since you consider my historical efforts toward enlightening you as nothing more than verbosity, I will cease and desist. . . As Ex said earlier, "why waste my time?" Indeed.

I will however, continue to call bullshit when bullshit is what it is; no matter the spreader.

Henry, your whole world is 5 miles around your house and a mile strip on each side of trip to work and 2 miles around your work.  There is 360 million people in this country.  Just think 360 million people.  What's 3 to 4 thousand people a day.  How many people have moved back home with mom and dad, aunt and uncle.  How many people are living in one room apartments so that they will have an address.  How many are living in shelters, how many in cars on the streets.

Like I have said so many time to you, why don't you take your head out of your ass and think what reality is.  You're 52 and that only 13 years away.  Just freight train speed, only 13 years away.  Are you going to have over a million dollars in your retirement account that's safe from the stock market and the bankers.  Wake up or your going to be the toothless Hoosier when asked what has the Republican Party done for you?  Your going to give that toothless smile an say, "Nothing, but I'm Hoping".       As you always say, "just asking"

The facts as they relate to oil production is that is has been steadily increasing under the Obama administration and our dependence on foriegn oil has been decreasing, a reversal of the trend from the previous administration.  If increased production was the silver bullet Henry claims, gas prices would be coming down; they are not.

Even more laughable is the Republican claim that production is increasing despite Obama's policies rather than because of them.  Their rationale is that the increase in production is on private land rather than public land.  Firs, who the fuck cares...an increase in production is an increase in production.  Secondly, I thought conservatives were in favor of government staying out of business; doesn't it seem that they should be in favor of more production on private land?  How does the U.S. government turning over publicly owned resources to corporations translate into the government staying out of business?

The national rate of homelessness is 21 homeless people per 10,000 people in the general population. The rate for veterans is 31 homeless veterans per 10,000 veterans in the general population.

The number of poor households that spent more than 50 percent of their incomes on rent – defined by HUD as households that are "severely housing cost burdened" – increased by 6 percent from 5.9 million in 2009 to 6.2 million in 2010. Three-quarters of all poor renter households had severe housing cost burdens.

Nationally, 1 out of every 45 housing units was in foreclosure in 2010.

The "doubled up" population (people who live with friends, family or other nonrelatives for economic reasons) increased by 13 percent from 6 million in 2009 to 6.8 million in 2010. The doubled up population increased by more than 50 percent from 2005 to 2010.

The national number of residential housing units in foreclosure increased by 2 percent (47,217 units), going from 2,824,674 in 2009 to 2,871,891 in 2010. (Do the math. that equals 7,868 families every day losing their home to foreclosure; thusly becoming "homeless". And yes, those doubling up are a form of homelessness.)

So, while your apparent stereo-type for homelessness involves the raggedy, scarecrow resembling individuals that are chronically homeless, there is an actual protocol that determines the classification.

And had it not been for the dollars allocated toward the remediation of homelessness within the Economic Recovery Act, things would have been much worse!

There is a BIG difference in foreclosures and HOMELESS.........
Let's get back to the point of all of this..........I was talking about Voter ID.........then YOU said it would be unfair, because THOUSANDS of families are going homeless EVERY DAY.
THAT is IT...and YOU are making a mountain out of a molehill.............

I just wanted to point out that YOU too, are guilty of the things YOU claim that I am guilty of.

I'm DONE with this.

The Keystone pipeline will increase gas prices in the Midwest.  Right now, we have a surplus of oil since it can't make its way to the gulf.  The pipeline will allow it to flow past us and our prices will increase.

If the potus beleive this, and what you said is to be true....then this potus needs to be fired, because the people are paying too much at the pump and he is not doing anything to help but make it worse?....

I just spent 10 minutes on a rebuttal..........then I decided to scrap it.  no need to try to prove anything.  I'm learning though.

Translation; I've already made up my mind and I am a close-minded individual who is scared to death of change, and the possibility my position may actually be erroneous.

What "point" did I disregard Henry? The one where you ridiculed, (and continue to despite evidence supporting my view),  my statement that there are 1000 families a day becoming homeless, (which as it turns out is a very conservative estimate)????
