you are also missing the point....Tea Party members are NOT saying they are not taking what is legal and within the law.....the tea party is tired of Government spending money we do not have to spend.  They think raising taxes to pay for over spending is wrong...lowering our spending to meet our current taxes is the best way.
that is a nice spin though.....

And, might I point out, that despite the enormity of the fuel surcharge (road) taxation placed upon fuel, this state's roads are giving the backroads of Morocco a run for their money!

Then lets take a look at where our infamous "wheel tax" funds are being spent. . . Le'me know when you find it because I sure don't see it!

And I have to laugh at the commentary of our police departments surrounding the plethora of accidents we've been seeing when the snowman poops around central Indiana. ". . . .motorists driving too fast for conditions. . ." Ah yes, the old catch-all.

In prior winter seasons they blamed the cold for the fact that the "syrup" they now use wasn't doing the job that traditional salt does; but this year they have now switched to blaming drivers almost exclusively. I call BULLSHIT!

I have the great misfortune to have to drive home in the middle of the night and wee hours of the morning. It's a damn good thing I have a 4 x 4, otherwise I'd have been spending the night at work or in a ditch. There are virtually zero trucks out overnight, and not a grain of salt on the roads from Delaware county all the way through Madison. Yes, some of the roads I travel are secondary ones, but SR67 is the next best thing to I69, and the ONLY areas of bare road I have seen on nights when it snows, are those that run beneath I69. . .

Hawk, I have never seen anyone more selfish than you or :me: .  You guys sure have your head up your ass.  I hope there is something in the Universe what will keep fucking Republicans from getting full control like they have here in Indiana.  :groan:

Indiana hang on to your ass, you voted in the Republican bastard in and if your not rich, your next.  :zoners:    :trustme:

Troll, you got me to do a little investigation this morning........lets just take a look at the Best States for business and the worst states for business and their correlation to which "party" is in charge of that particular state.

According to more than 500 CEOs that considered a wide range of criteria, from taxation and regulation to workforce quality and living environment, they did thier annual ranking of the best states for business.

Then, I went to Wiki and got the list of which party was in control of those states....

They went like this:

Top 10 best states for business:
1. Texas - Republican controlled legislator
2. North Carolina - Republican controlled legislator
3. Florida - Republican controlled legislator
4. Tennesee - Republican controlled legislator
5. Georgia - Republican controlled legislator
6. INDIANA - Republican controlled legislator
7. Virginia - Republican controlled legislator
8. South Carolina - Republican controlled legislator
9. Utah - Republican controlled legislator
10. Neveda - Democrat controlled legislator

The 10 Worst States for Business:
1. California - Democrat controlled legislator
2. New York - Democrat controlled legislator
3. Illinois - Democrat controlled legislator
4. New Jersey - Democrat controlled legislator
5. Michigan - Republican controlled legislator
6. Massachusetts - Democrat controlled legislator
7. Conneticut - Democrat controlled legislator
8. Hawaii - Democrat controlled legislator
9. West Virginia - Democrat controlled legislator
10. Ohio - Republican controlled legislator

I think this speaks volume about republican leadership vs. democrat leadership when it comes to producing States with a great workforce quality and  good living environments.....a state where business' prosper along with the citizens.
sources:

so btw, INDIANA was 6th on the list for BEST STATES...and that occured under republican controlled action by the state....
Just sayin...

Best for "business". . . Wonder what the statistics surrounding "quality of life" for the workers in those states are????

Isn't it amazing how Hawk worries about business and the super rich.  Like you said he don't give a damn about the hourly workers, poor and sick standard of living.

It's also interesting how these Republicans say they don't take any government dollars.  Well, I've been paying taxes since I was 16 years paid school taxes then and still paying school taxes now at 74.  I had one boy, when I look at it, Hell I been paying school taxes for the breeders.  Like 5 rugrats.      :@#%&:

I'm finding it quite interesting the way some are trying to spin this like a top.

I wouldn't expect someone with no knowledge of business to understand but as Palehorse points out, what's best for business doesn't mean anything as far as quality of life for the people living there.  Florida, for example, might be a very good state in which to own a luxury car dealership and many of your customers would probably be medical professionals.  As that state has a disproportionately large percentage of elderly residents, much of the money that pays the medical professionals that buy those cars undoubtedly comes from Medicare payments.  Florida is a low-income, low-productivity state with a disproportionately large number of people receiving various forms of federal income support.  That money comes from higher-income, higher productivity states, most of which may not appear to be as business friendly according the the skewed data Henry presents but they will tend to be more liberal.

I also noticed that after spending many months there in the winter and using some of the medical service.  Just how poor it is and expensive it is.  I think we have better health care up here.

Best for "business". . . Wonder what the statistics surrounding "quality of life" for the workers in those states are? ???

and this is NOT skewed data:

http://www.cnbc.com/id/41666602

CNBC came up with a study that ranks the states based on the following criteria;
- Cost of Doing Business
- Workforce
- Quality of Life
- Economy
- Transportation & Infrastructure
- Technology & Innovation
- Education
- Business Friendliness
- Access to Capital
- Cost of Living

Here is how the states I had ranked in this study:

Top 10 best states for business, Party affiliate and its overall ranking of quality:
2. Texas - Republican controlled legislator
3. North Carolina - Republican controlled legislator
18(tie). Florida - Republican controlled legislator
18(tie). Tennesee - Republican controlled legislator
4. Georgia - Republican controlled legislator
15. INDIANA - Republican controlled legislator
1. Virginia - Republican controlled legislator
37. South Carolina - Republican controlled legislator
8. Utah - Republican controlled legislator
45. Nevada - Democrat controlled legislator

The worst on this list is Nevada (dem controlled) and average of $980 of median per capita of Federal Aid ... I also will add, all of these states are "right to work" states.

The 10 Worst States for Business, Party affiliate and its overall ranking of quality:
32. California - Democrat controlled legislator
26. New York - Democrat controlled legislator
22. Illinois - Democrat controlled legislator
30. New Jersey - Democrat controlled legislator
34. Michigan - Republican controlled legislator
6. Massachusetts - Democrat controlled legislator
39. Conneticut - Democrat controlled legislator
48. Hawaii - Democrat controlled legislator
46. West Virginia - Democrat controlled legislator
23. Ohio - Republican controlled legislator

and average of $1840 of median per capita of Federal Aid ... I also will add, all of these states are NOT "right to work" states.

The U.S. Census Bureau reports annually on the amount and distribution of Federal Aid to State and Local Governments.

Good job!  Now tell us for each of these states what the distribution of federal aid is per dollar of federal taxes paid.

No, as is your habit, you gave us only half of the information because doing so supports what you want to believe.  If a state receives twice the per capita federal expenditures of another but pays 5 times the per capita federal taxes, which state is the bigger drain?
