according to many experts....part of the reason the unemployment rate fell is because more than 300,000 people who had previously been looking for jobs gave up. If an individual isn't currently looking for work, researchers don't count him/her as unemployed....so it is really hard to say honestly what is going on.

I did not see PH's post....but if it is true, then is there an argument to be made, that those jobs WERE created without raising taxes?

Ex, I still say, and this is a common voice by most conservatives....insteado of Gov spending billions if not trillions on a stimulus....why not do as I said previously and cut the corporate tax rate from 39 percent to zero THEN let's put a 20 percent tax on all companies who have their business' set up overseas or across our border....

I just find it easier to trust those who make money over those who spend money.

Your can talk all about job creators, creating job, but the real fact is that during the 8 years of George W. and the Republican Party, is that over a 150,000 American Companies left America and out sourced our jobs all over the world where they pay slave wages.

Bringing the products back to America and selling they at the price they would charge if it was make in America.  Reaping huge profits which has produced the largest gap in the wealth between the poor and the rich.

Until we make the manufacturers pay a tariff on their products of country, we will never recover our American life style.  We need a lever playing field.

Wow, 150k companies left huh? That makes it really amazing that the unemployment rate ran between 4 and 5 1/2% during his term.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics data....during the Bush presidency, net total employment went up by 1.08 million jobs.

You guys are so full of shit on top of being blind.  :jester:  :jester:

But you people must be in a real quandary of what stone to pick of the diamonds you have running for president.  :rotfl:  :rotfl:

Just like old Hawk has said in the past.  "Newt Gingrich is such an intelligent man" :rotfl:  :rotfl:  :rotfl:  Wants to do away with child labor laws and put the poor kids to cleaning school bathrooms and mopping floor.  Maybe Hawk could have some extra money coming in if he could get his many kids a job cleaning rest rooms and mopping floors at the school below minimum wage.   :grin2:  Just think of what it would do for the kid self esteem among the other kid in school cleaning rest room, shitters and mopping floors.   :smitten:  I can hear the laughing now.  :bliss:  :bliss:  Hawk do you have to do that at work now and I know that "ME" had to do it at work.

The unemployment rate was 4% when he took office; it was 7.2% and increasing sharply by the end of his second term.

the unemployment rate hovered in the 4 to 5% from 2001 through 2007...ironically, it did not rise significantly until the democrats took control of the house and the senate...

So I guess we can blame the current unemployment numbers on the Republican controlled House?

Now I get it...everything bad that happens is caused by Democrats and everything good that happens is caused by Republicans!

Well, I can see that your knowledge of science and the physical nature of a vacuum is definitely lacking.  As EX has said in the past you are not very smart or educated.  Better stick to the facts Toots, stay with what you know.  :rotfl:

How can parts be missing when there are none.  A perfect vacuum is void of all matter.  Just like you're void of all gray matter.  :grin2:

I just find it easier to trust those who make money over those who spend money.

Then you should listen to what they're saying:

Here (1:42 into the clip), Charlie Fink, millionaire and former AOL executive states emphatically that corporate executives make hiring decisions based solely on demand for their product with no consideration whatsoever to how much they'll be taxed.

Here are over 200 millionaires, the people you claim to trust.  Listen to them and read what they have to say.

This quote from one of them stands out in direct contrast of conservative politicians' supply-side economic fantasies: "Rich people are not the cause of a robust economy; they're the result of a robust economy."
