I'm sorry but I just don't see things the same and the blame game is getting as old as the racist game.  A lot of things went on behind closed doors so all anyone has to go on is 2nd hand info.  If this government had been and would start being as transparent as we were told it was going to be this blame game might not be necessary 'cause we would know for sure who did what now wouldn't we?

Like that's a revelation.

Heard an interesting little factoid today that speaks to the Republicans' reluctance to increase taxes on those making over $1 million.  Turns out that most of those people have careers as fund managers, high dollars lawyers and the like...people who in the course of their business create no jobs.  Only 14% of that population can be categorized as a small business owners with the potential to be job creators.  So here's the question for Henry and 'me': if we could identify and exclude the 14% of those earning more than $1 million who actually could create jobs, would you be adverse to increasing the taxes on the 86% who do not.

first of all, I would say show me some proof of that claim that only 14% of those making a million dollars are creating jobs.  You know that is BS.

actually, I don't care....I really don't care what your opinion is on this subject or any other subject as far as that goes.  It means NOTHING.

I am going to vote for the best conservative out there, and hope enough others will do the same and this problem we now face will go away.

It's actually been proven many, many times.  You just can't handle the truth.  I never expected you to actually answer the question because this simple fact brings your entire little house-of-cards crashing down around you.

The problem we face is letting morons like you vote and breed.  Nothing short of civil war will make that go away.

If you don't believe Factcheck you would you believe, Fox News.

Again, I can careless guys........factcheck is just another conservative attack site. You guys get YOUR info from places that make you feel better and attack sites that make me feel better.

The difference is, my sites are right and correct with the information, despite the twisting and turning that other media hacks try to do.

as long as we have NEW leadership in 2012....I'm going to be happy.

WTF, Today Newt was walking into Trump Tower to talk to The Donald.  What a brain trust.  Maybe Newt is going to ask The Donald to run with him as Vice President.  :music1:  Bring in the Clowns :music1:

seriously? Factcheck.org is your source?

It just happened to be the first on google came up with but it's been widely discussed and published elsewhere.  You know what, I'm sure that you could prove this to yourself if you really wanted to but you'd rather come on here and spout off about things you don't understand than to spend your time actually learning about them.  It isn't a reflection on me if you choose to remain ignorant.

At the end of the day, your smoke screen isn't working.  Even the Republicans don't claim for the actual "job creators" to comprise much more than half that group so the question still remains: what's wrong with taxing the portion of those high-dollar earners (and I use the term loosely) who create no jobs?

Feel free to continue to dodge the question since there is no good answer that you can provide without deviating from your sworn mantra.

I have said this time and time again...........IF, the dems wanted to raise it on the Multi-Millionaires.......I would not argue TOO much, even though it will not make a hill of beans difference to creating jobs.  They STILL want to raise taxes on those making $250,000.

Creating JOBS is what we need....and YOU know it.  Putting a bandaid on a severed artery is not going to stop the bleeding.

But cutting the U.S. corporate tax rate from 39 percent to zero THEN let's put a 20 percent tax on all companies who have their business' set up overseas or across our border......THIS WILL spur economic growth, create jobs and increase federal revenue...
and that to closing down the borders....and repealing Obama's healthcare.........all things republicans WANT to do....and yet, the dems answer is to raise taxes on the working class taxpayers.....

That is no sworn in mantra....it IS simply a conclusion that I have soundly come to AFTER much reading and listening to many many speak and write on this subject.
It just makes for common sense.

Here we go with the parroting of the same bullshit talking points again...

The plan presented by the Democrats last week funded your payroll tax reduction with a 3.5% tax only on those with incomes over $1 million.  The Republicans apparently serve Grover Norquist (a lobbyist) rather than their own constituents.

I am NOT parroting NO ONE....I am in favor of this, possibly...but it is NOT going to create JOBS!  This is just another politcal plan presented by the dems....I think NOT passing it will hurt the economy even more so....and the dems know this, so they are playing politics at its finest.

This will pass...but there ARE other ways to pay for it rather than raising taxes....like freezing federal pay for a couple of years.

Actually, the suggestion being put forth by the Republicans is to pay for it by cutting the federal workforce.  There is, of course, nothing whatsoever that even one job would be created by either strategy but creating jobs by eliminating jobs just doesn't sound like a very good plan.

BTW, you must have missed where PH posted that there have been steady increases in jobs over the past 21 months?

according to many experts....part of the reason the unemployment rate fell is because more than 300,000 people who had previously been looking for jobs gave up. If an individual isn't currently looking for work, researchers don't count him/her as unemployed....so it is really hard to say honestly what is going on.

I did not see PH's post....but if it is true, then is there an argument to be made, that those jobs WERE created without raising taxes?

Ex, I still say, and this is a common voice by most conservatives....insteado of Gov spending billions if not trillions on a stimulus....why not do as I said previously and cut the corporate tax rate from 39 percent to zero THEN let's put a 20 percent tax on all companies who have their business' set up overseas or across our border....

I just find it easier to trust those who make money over those who spend money.
