Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

Well golly gee look who runs daily finance:   Huffington-ization Of AOL Continues With Daily Finance Reset
AOL's Daily Finance channel has been one of its most highly trafficked over the past few years, but as the integration with Huffington Post continues apace, changes are coming. The company is announcing several new hires for the site, including Peter Goodman, executive business editor of AOL (NYSE: AOL) Huffington Post Media Group, with the goal of broadening the channel's appeal to younger audiences and women, while retaining the attention of investment professionals.

In all, AOL Daily Finance will have nine editorial staffers. That includes at least two former freelancers. Since the $315 million acquisition of HuffPo, AOL has eschewed the use of freelancers in its Media Group. Instead, Seed, AOL's freelance aggregation system, is now under COO Ned Brody's new network services group. Goodman, a former New York Times reporter who joined HuffPo last fall, wouldn't go into the topic of layoffs that occurred before he arrived with the rest of HuffPo in March, but he did say that there haven't been any staff reductions on the business reporting side under his watch.

The research would be a little skewed and biased by any chance would it?

Do you dispute the figures?

Would you rather believe the CDC? These figures are from 2007, so they are a little dated. Still, they confirm my earlier post.

Excuse me but I did for a lot of years to be able to get it.  I paid the maximum for a lot of years working both salaried and private contractor jobs.

Uh, yeah...Medicare is not a bank account so yes, I am paying for your health care.

Just like I paid for those ahead of me and those behind you will be paying for yours.  So what's yer point?  You aren't doing anything special so quit making it sound like you are.  Medicare is not a handout.

Yes, it is.
A pyramid scheme perhaps but it is not a handout I contributed to it therefore it is not a freebie handout it is a benefit.

Using that rationale, you can't call welfare a freebie handout if the recipient has ever worked and paid taxes.

It's interesting how people can rationalize the assistance they get from the government as something they deserve because they "paid into the system" while simultaneously denying others who've also done so the same latitude.
