Medicare was formed exactly for the reason that older people are not as able to work and provide for themselves and with the decline of the family unit there are many who have no help. Younger people should be able to work and provide for themselves, and I know it isn't easy now. It never was as easy as some people think.

Now as for medicaid, yes, that is an entitlement program because you don't have to pay into it or for it to get it.

There is no charge for medicaid and there is for medicare, it comes directly out of your check every month.  You have to work to get Social Security, which comes with medicare, and you don't have to with medicaid and is part of welfare or for someone who has medical needs and can't afford insurance.  There is nothing wrong with that until it comes to the illegals who are collecting it and some here who are citizens, either natural or who have gone through the proper channels, who can't get it because of various loopholes. 

If you have never paid into something and you collect it is a give away, freebie, entitlement, or whatever you want to call it.  If you pay into something it is a benefit.

No, but several members of my family have. They all manged one way or another. As far as stress, if everyone deserves coverage why don't they deserve what the President and Congress get. Why would they be deserving of better medical care than the average person.

What don't you understand about there are violent people who have joined in this OWS group anyway?  Some, a few, are peaceful, yes, but there is a bunch who are not and they are wreaking havoc. They are dangerous and hell bent on tearing shit up.
