FYI on my last high school exam I scored 2nd yr 4th month college.  That was before they lowered the standards so anyone could pass for fear of giving them a complex.

That was a nationwide average not just local.   I would never have even brought it up except I'm really getting tired of Ex's holier than thou attitude and being talked down to.  He quit doing that to you after he found out you were politically agreeing with him and heck for all we know you may even beat him in an IQ test but you just don't feel the need to brag about it either.  He hasn't figured out with all his college education that just because a person doesn't structure sentences properly or spell everything correctly doesn't mean they don't have a high IQ or that being able to doesn't mean they don't just fall into the normal range and are nothing special.  IQ means nothing when it comes to the overall picture and I think you and I may even agree on that one.

How long ago was high school? You do realize that learning is something that people should do their entire lives. If we receive a half-way decent education, then it should inspire us to continue to learn and should give us the tools to do that. That being said, I don't think as many years have passed between my high school graduation date and yours. I can honestly say that it wouldn't occur to me to cite something from 20 years ago as proof of my intellect today.

I also have to question your comment about the standards being lowered. I disagree. My daughter works in much more advanced math and science than I did at her age/grade and the same was true for my son when he was in school.

What makes you think scientists, attorneys, doctors, or pharmacists have any higher IQ than anyone else, by default?  There are religious leaders who claim to have Doctorates and you know they aren't as smart as most people.  However, like the NASCAR NATION we have become, many aren't even as smart as a 5th grader and prove it by worshipping a bunch of high-school dropouts as "drivers" (like they were fucking astronauts) and following the dumbest people alive; bush, palin, mccain, bachman, perry, et al.......

Speaking for myself, if they displayed the least bit of intellect, then I may still disagree with their opinions, but I wouldn't have a thing to say about their IQ.

You, on the other-hand, appear to blindly defend them. That's what got this started. Bachmann's confusion on the difference between "submissive" and "respect" and your poor attempt to defend her. An attempt that indicates that you and Bachmann might be on the same playing level.  So, I'll pose the question again, which of Bachmann's policies do you agree with and why?

  Let's get off of the IQ bit.  IQ really is based on memory.  I dated a girl who was in the upper 5% of all college students.  She had a photographic memory.  She could cram for a test and Ace It.  She could even tell you what page the found the information on.  A couple of years later couldn't remember a thing about it.  I think it's call short term memory.  But that doesn't matter she already got a record of an excellent grade.  There is a whole lot of upper management with that short term memory and are dumber than shit.  You know them.  You worked for them.

  But common sense, this broad was a dead head.  All of her life after 3 marriages you can't believe the mental fu*k ups she has made.  Now in her 70's she is alone and broke.  So much for a high IQ.

Indeed there are so I make it a point to educate myself in those things before I offer opinion on them.  You should try it sometime.

I was being generous when I gave her "confusion" as an option. It's the way of life she espouses, so there shouldn't be any confusion. As a matter of fact, she thought her explanation was a good one and apparently you did too because you tried to use it yourself.

And that makes you jump to conclusions about something you know nothing about based on one thing.  You failed to address the fact that Obama has also made some slips but you think nothing about that.  What is so different?
