My saying the sky is blue doesn't make it so either but it doesn't mean it isn't true.

They doctored the video!

I really think it would do you guys good to watch this in it's entirety.  I would then like you, Ex, to tell me the difference in how the dems portrayed Condoleezza Rice and Colin Powell in some of their political cartoons and what they said about them and why you didn't see that as racist but you do see it as racist when someone disagrees with Obama.

Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

Did you watch the video?

Don't need to as it's yet another of your numerous attempts to present a red herring.

To ME:

Just a friendly suggestion, please give up trying to convince anyone on here, as to what YOU know as the truth.

They are very good at making you think you are something you are not.

I have learned, NOT to get caught up in what they think is true or what their passionate beliefs are.

Stay strong on YOUR beliefs, and just have fun here.

Amazing ignorance continues.  I heard a clueless person, who unfortunately votes in my state, railing against Obamaphones.  There really should be some intelligence test required before voter registration is allowed.  The video, that the lie he's believing is based on, is posted here somewhere.  I just have to find it.

I had people telling me the same thing this weekend.  They also have a new claim that Obama's wedding ring is inscribed with, "There is no god but Allah," propagated by Whack Nut Daily.  I careful inspection of the ring reveals no such inscription, only an abstract design that a person would have to be pretty stoned to see arabic writing in but they seem to think it's proof that Obama's a muslim.  Don't let the fact that this "inscription" is on a gold ring and that most Muslims are forbidden to wear gold get in the way of a good lie.  But, of course, this isn't about bigotry at all...

Here's another one...I had a conservative who is a cop tell me Obama is violating the 2nd Amendment and that he can no longer walk into a store and buy 30 round magazines for his AR-15.  He knows this, of course, because as he said, it's his job to know such things.  Well, I, being the skeptic that I ham, had to look it up and they're not only all over the internet but every gun store I called not only has them but 100 round drum-feeders as well.  In fact, I can find no changes whatsoever to the federal firearms regulations since Obama took office.  Who spreads this shit and why do these fucking morons believe it?

One more...the things that Bush did in office were responsible for Osama Bin Laden finally being brought to justice...but not for the financial collapse that started while he was still in office.  WTF?

Interestingly, what started as a political discussion turned into nothing more than a bunch of talk about how Obama probably wasn't born here, how he's a marxist, how he secretly is in cahoots with the Muslim Brotherhood, etc., etc., etc.  Not one fucking word about Romney being an appropriate candidate for the job...not one.  Just a shit-load of race-baiting bullshit just like we constantly hear from the few losers on this forum who hate Obama for "policies" that don't exist.

That they're so full of self-righteous indignation at the suggestion that they're just a bunch of gullible bigots is laughable.

I know HH.  When actually faced with the truth they really get bad about name calling and character assassinations.  I just laugh, shake my head, and go on.

...Who spreads this shit and why do these fucking morons believe it?...

The unholy trinity of the authoritarians/capitalist-corporatists/theocrats.

They invent and spread these conspiracies because it's in their best interest to do so, and because it's impossible for them to argue their positions on the merits.  The only way to power/wealth for the creeps behind the curtain is through that type of fear mongering, conspiratorial, lying, propaganda that appeals to the idiot masses.

The idiot masses swallow it whole because it appeals to their fears, prejudices, and basic lack of analytical/critical thinking skills.

Law of Logical Argument - Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.  ;)

"You've probably noticed that opinion pollsters go out of their way to include as many morons as possible in surveys ... I think it's dangerous to inform morons about what their fellow morons are thinking. It only reinforces their opinions. And the one thing worse than a moron with an opinion is lots of them." -- Scott Adams

In other words: Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  ;)

"It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it." -- Upton Sinclair

"Hitler is gone, but if the majority of our fellow citizens are more susceptible to the slogans of fear and race hatred than to those of peaceful accommodation and mutual respect among human beings, our political liberties remain at the mercy of any eloquent and unscrupulous demagogue." -- S. I. Hayakawa
