First of all, there is absolutely no basis for your claim that democrats are gun-grabbers.  Did anyone come for your guns during the Obama administration?  Yeah, mine neither.  Second, 70% of the American public believes in common sense gun law reform.  Why should the NRA's money take precedence over the people?  Is that how you think democracy works?

Banning the AR-15 isn't common sense.
More extensive back-ground checks to make sure that felons and violently bad people and mentally disturbed people are red flagged, and prevented....and a system that good people can purchase firearms without hassle. That is a common sense law, that I think we all can agree on.

But when leaders like Schumer says crap like "We're going to hammer guns on the anvil of relentless legislative strategy! We're going to beat guns into submission!"....that disputes common sense.


As far as dodging Trump....I'm not happy with his comments, but he isn't a law maker...and I think he KNOWS he would never get votes to do what he says...I think he is doing what he does best......making a deal.  Trying to get some common ground to get something done.

Nope. It's a combination of the Citizens United decision of the SCOTUS and the propaganda machine it has created that nurtures the formation of a herd of sheep.

Newsflash! IF the existing infrastructure in place simply exercised due diligence in properly executing and enforcing the firearms legislation already in place, it would prevent a large number of mentally ill and idiots from owning firearms. But the fact is they will not/cannot do so, and the general population is too ignorant to see it.

Instead our elected leadership chooses to serve up yet another edition of the decades long panacea, additional firearms legislation. Cheap and expedient "action" that quiets the sheep and enables them to pat themselves on the back and say they "did something" in the next round of elections.

Creating an effective infrastructure with the capacity to properly enforce the laws they've already created will cost billions. And require increased taxation. Coming on the heels of a propagandized tax reform bill there isn't a man or woman in office willing to take that task on. Not. One.

So the slaughter of sheep at the hands of the sick population will continue no matter what additional laws these jackasses pass. And law abiding firearms owners will continue to be wrongly targeted. . . And shoulder the burden for being compliant with those laws. . .

I don't hear a single sane voice pointing any of this out. . . 😡

I am not suggesting that AR-15's are banned, I am suggesting they are reclassified as class 3 weapons.  If you want to shoot a weapon like that and aren't willing to go through the class 3 application process and pay for the tax stamp, join the military!  Two of my happiest days in the Army were when I was issued my weapon and when I got to give it back.
