It's changed on the internet and a lot of it is not completely factual. And, like I've stated before even books are changed through revisions so it's best to get the unrevised first editions when available and they're disappearing as they age unfortunately.

Just like changes are made to books.  As we learn more (most of us, not you of course), it is necessary to make modifications to reflect that new knowledge.  That's why encyclopedias used to issue annual updates.
