Most salaried employees are part of a bonus program....based upon profits.  This would most likely end up with a no bonus.

Where did you get that little factoid?  You got a link with some hard data that supports that supposition of yours?

Hank has always given the impression that items such as that are Hank regurgitating his boss's comments.

That would mean Hank's boss is setting him up for not getting a bonus etc..

Republicans say this is bad because our gov should NOT be telling business how to run their business.  I have a feeling many salary jobs will simply go away now.  They will become hourly employees at a lower wage.

Yeah, laissez-faire capitalism has always worked out SO well for labor, hasn't it.

You'd better get your calculator out and do the math.

You're an idiot.

Maybe I will rephrase and more specific....our FEDERAL GOV should NOT be putting their thumb on the wage scale to artificially inflate our economy.  This is nothing more than our POTUS trying to act like he is helping the middle class when in reality it will NOT.  This is between an adult employer and an adult employee to agree upon a wage for a set amount of work...

I hate to break it to you, but THAT'S exactly a job of .gov - to be that arbitrator of equality.  Otherwise, monied interests would have us back into abject serfdom...not that we're far from it now.

Yeah, if this were a perfect world and monied interests 1) actually cared about anything but themselves and profit; 2) they didn't collude to depress labor and wages; 3) labor wasn't subject to capitalistic serfdom just to survive, then an owner and an employee might be able to negotiate equitably and in good faith - but the truth is it ain't happenin'.

That's why we need strong labor unions and the power of .gov enforcing an equitable division of profit.

I'm already up on it.  The primary problem is that they joined the EU.  It would be like the U.S. joining a monetary economic confederation where we were no longer the primary issuer of currency.

So you don't think all those government cradle to grave entitelment programs have anything to do with it?

That isn't what did it at all but your lack of understanding is typical of your ilk.  Greece's issues stem from rich people not paying taxes...exactly what people like you think should happen in this country.   Don't believe me?  Look it up...learn something.

The problem is, they are corrupt.  70% of the people have chosen NOT to pay taxes.  It is NOT JUST rich people not pay...... It is Tax Evasion on steroids.  That is not what people like me or me (ha) think should happen.

The people of Greece got tired of THEIR government OVERPSENDING, too many pensions and too much entitlement..........so they quit sending them money.

FALSE!

Tax evasion is practically a sport in Greece and its roots go all the way back to when Greece was ruled by the Ottoman empire.  Your typical RW nonsense has nothing to do with it.  Matter of fact, I'd lay money it's some RW noize machine gibberish you read somewhere and are regurgitating here.

How ridiculous can this get? How in the hell does this keep anyone from voting? You have to have a picture ID at the hospital, doctors office, bank, and numerous other places so why don't these people already have an ID?
