I accomplished exactly what I intended to accomplish.  I have a comfortable home, enough money to get what makes me happy, a loving family, some super friends, no debt, and no stress.  Contrary to what you believe money does not buy happiness and neither does having the best of everything.

And how much stress do you have because you have payment books, high mortgage payments, little family life, and a need to impress people with what you have? Just exactly what do you hope to accomplish?  I just don't happen to need the biggest and best to prove anything to anyone I'm happy being me and being liked for who I am not what I have.

Actually, I don't have any payment books, we only use credit cards to rack up points and never carry a balance on them and our small mortgage is held by our trust so we're essentially paying ourselves interest.  We're actually very frugal...you can't spend yourself rich.

I have bought a few cars that way.  I loaned myself the money from a company I owned and was effectively paying myself back with interest.   It's a great thing to do if you're in a position to do it.
