No, it isn't and the day wasn't about honoring him or Obama.
They are both things which King helped bring about fool that is what I'm saying.  Good grief you aren't that stupid that you didn't know what I meant.

Again you offfer up your stupidity, only this time even smaller than a walnut ... I never indicated he was invited. I was responding to your "question" - "why were Republicans omitted from the list of speakers.  "

I merely pointed that your STATEMENT (which you will claim is just a question, but we know better) was a lie. Top republicans WERE INVITED, including John Boehner and Jeb Bush.
Where, dumbaskus, does it say that in what I posted?  Quit twisting things. That was the info at the time and it was corrected simple as that.  Nothing to do what-so-ever with my reading and comprehension skills so stuff it big boy.

I know what you meant but that doesn't make it any less asinine.

Why because the senator happens to be a Republican?  Shouldn't that be looked at as a uniting thing and one of his, King's, great accomplishments also?  Why is that asinine?

Ya know, I've heard nothing but good about today's speech, with 2 or 3 exceptions directed at speakers who were pot stirrers, but why were Republicans omitted from the list of speakers.  Yes, Bush was sent an invite but they knew he was recovering from surgery and wouldn't be able to make it.  I think this particular person should have been invited if no other Republican was and if you bother to read the article to the end you will see why.

I don't know...maybe because Scott was appointed, not elected?

Not really, genetics being what they are and whatnot.  Not only were republicans invited, every single one of them found some reason he/she could not attend.

Because, as is your normal course of action, you chose to go with whatever whiney bullshit showed up in your email without doing any research to find out if it was true.

  Your arrogance never ceases to amaze me.

Really?  My arrogance?  Let's review, shall we?

You come on here whining about how no Republicans were invited to the event, a "fact" that you couldn't have gleaned from any reliable news source and one that wasn't true.  Then, when you discover that it isn't true, you shift gears to attempt to identify a singular individual that should have been invited simply because he's black and you portray his accomplishment of being appointed to the remainder of a Senate term as being equal to that of Obama's having been elected President of the United States...twice...and when all of that is failing miserably, you start calling names which is exactly what you claim everyone else always does to you.  And now it's my arrogance?

I know, I know...you don't hate Obama because he's black, you hate him because of his policies...policies like failing to invite conservatives to an event even though he did and not one of them could bother to show up.

At the end of the day, MLK wasn't talking about a couple of black people managing to become successful politicians.  He was talking about all people being able to live in a society free of racism where everyone has the same opportunities regardless of the color of his/her skin.  That has yet to happen.

No it wasn't. The information you had at the time was that Sen. Tim Scott wasn't invited. Yet you extrapolated that to mean to your tiny little brain that Republicans were omitted from the list of speakers.

In fact, if you go back and read the article you posted, it even admits "The event organizers didn't completely exclude Republicans from the event " making your lie even more vile.

And if you'll go back and read I also said, "I realize Bush was sent an invite but they knew he wouldn't be able to go due to having just has surgery".  Give it up.

Just more proof that you're bat-shit crazy.

BTW, Bush wasn't the only repug they invited.
