My point is anybody who would put Hitler on such a list, pretty much loses any worth value from there on out....hell Stalin was on it twice.  I guess I have a different interpretation of what the "Man of the Year" should represent.

I don't think the intent for that is necessarily to be complimentary HH.  Perhaps that's where you're missing the mark.  It's awarded for most influential person, and it doesn't necessarily state that the influence has to be positive.  I'm going to look for a link on Time's website supporting that.
