I don't care about him using the EP, but there has GOT to be a motive behind it.  Just as othe POTUS did.  Bush did it to cover up, Clinton did it 14 times to cover up, and Reagan did like wise.

If there is a National Security reason, then he needs to inform exactly to the Oversight Committee who are doing their job.

You are totally out of your depth on this one Henry. You have not a clue surrounding what National Security implies, nor the implications imposed when you increase the number of individuals who possess that knowledge.

The fact is once you ring the bell you cannot un-ring it, and the collateral damage imposed by the revelation of the information the POTUS/ Holder know may be far more insidious than any one of us can imagine. That is why the duty falls to the POTUS to make these kinds of decisions, and if you do not trust a POTUS to act on the best interests of National Security then you are far to pessimistic.

I don't disagree that some have acted in this manner historically, have done so for less than ideal reasons. But "assuming" the same upon all is wrong.

There are no doubts that outright mistakes were made during "Fast and Furious" and those whom committed them should be held accountable. Sacrificing national security to do so is a call far above our pay grades, and none of us knows enough about it to make the call one way or another. Nor do I think we necessarily should.

Moreover, I dare say that should the POTUS attempt to enact legislation designed to close the gaps that allow the F&F situation to arise, conservatives will follow the game plan and just say no. . . as usual.

Finally, yes, I am assuming the man elected by the majority of the citizens of this country to protect and defend it, is indeed doing his job. That is not an unreasonable assumption. . . unlike yours.
