Do you type with one finger.  :haha:  Still playing the dumb ass Christian hillbilly.  Remember fool, one space after a comma and two spaces after a period.  I hope you haven't lost a finger or toe.  If a person like you counts on your fingers and toes you're going to come up short.  Hee, hee, hee.  Ding Dong.  Ding Dong.

You might want to check out that two space after a period thingy. I believe it is no longer correct.

Since I don't trust Annie in what she says, Good people out there : :ne1: know anything about this.  We all know that she hasn't opened an English book for 60 years.

She's actually right unless you're still putting a piece of paper into one of these.

If you're using one of those, then 2 spaces is still the rule, but in the computer age with proportionally spaced fonts, then one space is the norm.

Now that being said, I learned to type on one of those things, and I still type very quickly with all eight fingers on the 'asdfjkl;' keys.  I was also taught to hit two spaces after the period, and after so many years of it being so habitual, and ingrained into my day to day typing, it's a very difficult habit to break.  So in most of my postings around here, you'll see two spaces after all of my periods.  ;D

You are right, I learned the two space rule, too. It is a hard habit to break. A few years ago, my college educated daughter and some of her friends told me about the change.

Hasn't been that long, Troll. Maybe you should work on your people skills.

I was taught the same way 57 years ago, typing class.  I ain't going to change now.  But I will still use the space bar instead of running all of the words together.

Know who was the brainchild behind proportionally spaced fonts?
