Then in those areas they could make an exception but not every area is like that nor are places like that the problem.  The voter fraud is happening in large cities where everyone doesn't know everyone else and this is what they need to stop.  Do you have any better ideas how to stop it?

Making a more robust voter identification card may be the answer. . .

36.7 million people in this country were born before 1947. . . seriously. . .  And each and every day there are thousands of families being thrust into homelessness. How long do you think it will take them to join this lifestyle?
And those families to which you are referring probably already have ID's.  The states which are trying to get it passed have provisions to cover those who can't afford picture ID's.

There is such a vast difference between states, surrounding what is charged or if there is a charge, I am not comfortable in just accepting that they "have provisions to cover those who can't afford picture ID's." The fact is if this passes then many states that do not have such policies will be forced to implement them , and likely already charge for picture ID's.

It is not that I am against properly identifying a voter prior to voting. It's the methods used in some cases to establish identity, and the imposition of cost upon the voter in order to exercise a constitutional right!

Maybe. Maybe not. With barcode technology it would be possible to issue a voter registration card with a highly secure barcode format, that scans the voter information and validates it. Even if it did include a picture, the picture id itself should be paid for by a partisan fund and not the voters.

Only if it's to be used for voting and nothing else, like on a voters registration card but then you wouldn't be able to be registered at home but would have to go to the court house or license branch to register.

If you can't wait why don't you go ahead a do a little data analysis of the US Census figures surrounding the percentage of the population aged 65 and over. And when you are done with that why don't you look into the population densities encompassing all rural areas in this country.

You are getting pretty good at assuming things related to hypothetical scenarios and cracking off based on those assumptions. So now let's see you provide some accredited data to support that shite. Since you have "been to college" I am sure I won't have to explain the meaning of accredation to you; and you can expect your data to be reviewed from that perspective at the onset. So no friggin "American heritage" etc., sourcing will be acceptable. ( I've already given you my sources)

Just where do you think the families that have lost and are losing their homes over the past 6 years are going?

The are renting homes and apts.....I know this.

according to PBS, the definition of homeless is;
"lacks a fixed, regular, and adequate night-time residence."

I want YOU to show me that there are 1000's of people becoming homeless every day....that is BS! and YOU know it is.  YOU made the claim and I am calling you out on it.

I have read we have around 75,000 homeless families in America...............with YOUR math we would have around 365,000 homeless families.

Getting back to MY original point....that we NEED a ID system for voting and YOU went on a tangent claiming it would be somehow unfair, because of the thousands and thousands of homeless.

I say we need to help out those who cannot "afford" to get a ID...IF they desire to vote....but a ID SHOULD be required.

No I am not even close to WANTING to argue with your ass.............It was YOU that seemed hell bent on making it an issue....talking about people born in 1912 who may not be able to get an ID!!...wtf?....

I just believe it would be a GREAT idea that all citizens who want to vote, would have a ID of some sort to prove they are eligible and they are who the claim to be.

then BOOM! there ya go again.

In order to "call" me or anyone out, you'd have to first carry some credibility. At this point in time, on this topic, you should not assume to possess such a commission.

And again, THIS IS YELLING, not this. Just that fact you typically take anything I post as "yelling" and "going off on a tangent" leads me to believe you do not possess the conviction pertaining to your perspectives, that comes with critical thought. . .

I have plenty of conviction with my perspectives....I only go off on tangents when I feel attacked on a personal level....and when you add the  !!!!!  and throw in the personal attacks on my religion..(and YOU know what I am talking about...even if it is written in hebrew.... ;) )

Now, if you thing I have NO credibility, then quit wasting time trying to influence me with YOUR opinions....

With that being said, I want you to know, I am NOT taking any of this personal......at least not any more.  I have learned much on here the last several months....I am here, and I have my strong opinions.....and I will leave them for anyone to agree or disagree with.

and just because I called you out and declaring that we are NOT having 365,000 families going homeless every year.

Tell that to the over 6 million foreclosed upon families this nation had in 2009 and 2010. Tell that to the millions more of "doubled up" individuals living with someone because they have no home or job.

You are blinded by the kool aid you are addicted to, and should do some research on this topic.

I am not trying to make light of it Palehorse....I truly am not.....My whole point was on voter ID....YOU made a statement that 1000 families are going homeless every day....and It irked me that you diverted the whole topic, with an outlandish remark.

It IS an outlandish remark when you make a point that it effects a ID system to help our voting process......which we need.
