From the second news article you posted:

So, are you prepared to admit that you were wrong and that these aircraft will be built here in the U.S.?
Has there been a decision from the courts to allow that to happen?

The court has no say and it wasn't Obama's decision which aircraft to use anyway, it was the Air Force's.  Your characterization of this entire subject is nothing more than another of your bullshit lies.

It continually amazes me that the RWers who act as if they know all about government and how it should be structured and downsized practically never know how it really works.

Canada Pledges to Sell Oil to Asia After Obama Rejects Keystone Pipeline

Nice going ...

And we should care why?  The U.S. is currently a net exporter of refined fuel; do you know what that means?  Any clue?

It probably means that we're still not going to have the jobs the pipeline would have provided and that fuel will still cost more because the fuel being refined will be coming from elsewhere.

Hide and watch how it plays out.

Wow!  That's really your answer to his question?  How did you arrive at that conclusion?

Well, we won't have the pipeline jobs because they are going elsewhere.  There won't be more of a demand for refined fuel so the demand for it will remain unchanged for the most part which won't call for an increase in jobs or refineries.  The price for the fuel from where ever the pipeline ends up going will cost more than it would if it were here so that won't decrease the price we pay at the pump and may well cause it to increase. Being the largest exporter of the refined fuel does nothing if you have to import the fuel you're refining except raise the price of the end product. Now we could raise the price to the countries we refine for but then they just turn around and increase the price of the unrefined fuel they sell us.

Hint: the type of crude coming from that field in Canada would be exported anyway. That's why the Keystone pipeline (which will be built after it is properly studied) is going to run to the Gulf!

Who in hell cares, it's still foreign imported from another country.  But the oil that would be coming down this pipe line will be the dirtiest oil in the world.  After it is ship down here what are we going to do with all of the dirt and poison waste.  Dump in in the Gulf or bury in our land fills here.  Plus the oil companies will export out of our Gulf seaports.

If the Canadians export it out of their seaports, it will be refined and all of the crap taken out of it.  They want to sell us oil sand oil which it as close as it gets to shit.   :zoners:

Among the various and valid objections presented toward the current routing of the proposed pipeline, those pointing out the significant and egregious dangers imposed upon the Ogallala aquifer are among the most valid in my view.

The Ogallala aquifer supplies 82% of the drinking water, and 100% of the irrigational water utilized within the areas beneath which it resides. It is a shallow depth aquifer that, once polluted by a spill of crude, would present long term and irreversible environmental damage that would threaten the lives and well being of every human being that resides in an area that currently depends upon that aquifer.

The aquifer provides 30% of the water used in the irrigation of crops in this nation, and should it become polluted that would represent a HUGE drop in harvests at a minimum, and presents the potential for introduction of polluted crops and meat/poultry into the food chain.

And the current proposal wants to run that pipeline directly over this aquifer!

Just what we need eh? Oil polluting the "breadbasket" of America!?

They'll eventually build it, but not over the Ogallala aquifer!

You mean like this?  The obvious difference is that your picture is of a likeness of the flag; Bush is defacing the real thing.

And you know that's Bush because?  That is the back of some guy's head with hair that happens to be almost the same color as Bush's.  The hands look a wee tad young and the face is long rather than round in case you didn't notice.
