Yeah, your sense of fairness and ability to grasp the overall meaning of things is an example for us all </sarcasm>

Republicans do indeed suck, and not very well either!

The first link just says what is required and the second is only a news story.  Like you're forever telling HH and me, that is not proof.

I tell you an "opinion" piece is not a recital of verifiable facts. "News" stories contain verifiable facts. This one contains verifiable facts, such as these:

Obama was the first African American president of the Harvard Law Review.

Loeb University Professor Laurence H. Tribe '62, taught Obama and employed him as a research assistant.

Obama announced his presidential ambitions in a video on his Web site earlier this week. (see artical dateline for the week)

News outlets employ editors and fact checkers. There primary purpose is to make sure every statement in a news story is factual, verified by at least two sources. Opinion stories, on the other hand, are so marked, and not held to this standard.

Now what statement exactly is it that you consider "not proven?"

I really don't know why I bother trying to explain verification to you. You'll just tell me the history was "changed."

She wasn't having trouble, she was attempting to delay the inevitable truth by playing dumb.

I know. I didn't see any reason to let her get away with it.

How many times have you not accepted a news story as proof when it was on the other side?  This is a prime example of making the facts fit the situation.  Had this been a negative story you would have said exactly what I am saying and you know it.

Never, when it contained verifiable facts. I have relentlessly questioned opinion pieces that were presented as facts. I do know the difference.

I believe I was given ample reason to change my mind.  You said one thing I agreed with and that was one thing that I agreed with he just didn't do it.

These Republicans are really a trip.  When you catch them lying, caught red handed with their hand in the cookie jar and you call them on it.  All you get is.

A dumb look and  idiot smile and the same statement, "Sorry.  What ever."  Then within an a hour or less, they're back too the same thing.  A dumb look, idiot smile and lying.  Sorry, what ever.

I'm still waiting for "me" to share one policy that she agrees with.

Intelligent Democrats? Obama, graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University. You'd be hard pressed to prove that he's dishonest. You can try it, but spin, innuendo and BS isn't accepted.

Then, please share w/me one Republican who is intelligent and honest.
So are you saying that I should have voted for Obama because he graduated with honors even though he campaigned on things I didn't agree with or are you saying I should have voted for him because he is black and graduated with honors?
I would not have voted for Hillary either and when it comes down to it they're both Liberal Progressives which I happen to disagree with so why does that make a difference just because it happened to be Obama who ran?  I always thought you voted for whoever came the closest to your view of things not just because they happen to be one gender or race or another.  You just can't seem to get a grip on the fact that people voted for who they felt would do the better job based on how they felt about their campaign and they disagree with policies because they don't like the policy not because of the race of the person who happens to be president.  All this crying racist, bigot, hate monger is intended to scare us into submitting and causing problems that don't, or didn't, exist and it is creating an air of malcontent that hasn't done anything productive in the least.  Greece, (cradle to grave entitlements), and the UK, (government health care),  have had what Obama wants for us for years and they are failing so what makes you think it will be any different here?  The more given the more that is wanted and the more it costs so where is all that money going to come from?  You may be comfortable with where you're at in life at the moment but what about your children and grandchildren are they going to have the same opportunities or are they going to be slaving to pay off a huge debt brought on by all of these entitlements and unable to get ahead?

Now just to make sure you don't miss what I want answered here.....Should I have voted for or agree with policies just because of the race or gender of the president if I don't honestly believe in their agenda?

Your're back in out field, I see ;D

I didn't say or imply anything of the sort.

I answered your question and supplied sources to back it up. I also asked why certain aspects of Obama's education is so important to you, when you obviously didn't hold Dubby to the same standard.

You can vote for who you want to. You can agree with suport what you want to. If I had said or implied anything, then it would have been along the lines of how I'd find it refreshing if you backed up those opinions  with facts. Just once.

It isn't important to me but the dems keep bringing it up and calling those of us who don't agree with Obama racists, bigots, and hate mongers.  They, and you guys,  are also the ones who keep bringing up Bush's intelligence and Palin's for that matter.

You still didn't answer this question.  I voted for the person I felt would do the best job and had the best policies.  I didn't vote for Obama and disagree with the biggest part of his.  I have been called a racist, biggot, and hate monger for this.  Why?

I did answer your question, most recently a few pages back, but that wasn't the first time. In fact, I think maybe we've all tried.

You can leaf back through and find it...it was along the lines of being able to articulate and support your decisions and opinions w/facts, because to do otherwise makes someone seem as if they're making those choices based on superficial reasons. Of course they can still make the choices/decisions, without facts, it's a free country, but they look a whole lot less suspicious/silly and garner more respect if they can support their positions.

So by that you're saying everyone in the country who didn't vote for Obama was wrong and are racists and/or a discredit to their race.  Or in other words, everyone should have voted for Obama because he is 100% right?  Sorry but that doesn't even make sense and is very illogical.

Obama is a liberal progressive, I do not believe in liberal progressive ideas and policies, therefore I would have voted against whoever ran that had those ideologies it just happened it was Obama who ran and was elected.  Do I have to automatically change my ideas and beliefs to his now?  Wouldn't that be taking away my freedom of choice to make my decision based on what I believe?  The facts you presented are skewed in your favor just as what I believe are skewed in mine and it is my choice to believe mine are just as valid as yours and your choice to believe yours are valid.  That is how things work and are supposed to work.  If he is so right why are people who voted for him suddenly against what he's doing?  Why didn't all blacks vote for him and why are they suddenly a discredit to their race if they disagree with him?  Not everyone who disagrees with him is an uneducated redneck either there are some highly educated people who disagree with his policies so why are they labeled as stupid now?  Think Sandy, think. How many different ways do I have to put these thoughts to get it through your head?

Me, I think you have NAILED on the head.....Liberals cannot comprehend how anyone cannot be excited over a left winged Harvard grad, who happens to be a minority.....that is enough qualification they need for a leader of this country....throw in the fact he reads a mean teleprompter, and made everyone believe they needed hope and change......THEN, top it all off with Oprah ranting and raving that he is a great man, then bauh gooly, we got ourselves a POTUS...and we ALL should just forget EVERYTHING and the morals we grew up on doesn't mean squat......the man is here, and let him do what ever he wants, and just support him......because the economy is great, and we have nothing to worry about anymore.....
